Manage a very high-profile Member of Congress, representing one of the most politically challenging and ethnically diverse districts in the country. Principal liaison to House Leadership offices, the White House, local and state governments and other stakeholders.

•	Political advisor skillfully navigating 8 consistently competitive election cycles, overseeing fundraising efforts raising and maintaining over $3 million/each cycle.

•	Maintain extensive network of contacts including Congressional Members, key staff, Administration officials and Foreign Embassies and staff.

Chief of Staff

Direct and implement all media and communications and serve as the primary spokesperson and media liaison for the Congressman with New York, National and International reporters.
•	Facilitate news media coverage of hearings, investigative reports, and Committee and House consideration of the Congressman's legislation.
•	Draft press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials in support of the Congressman's policy objectives. 
•	As part of a pro-active media outreach, built relationships with national broadcast media securing hundreds of television interviews for the Congressman each Congressional term.
•	Advise and prepare Congressman for hundreds of local, state, national and international print and radio interviews. 
•	In a highly saturated New York media market maintain availability and access 24/7 to ensure the Congressman's position and voice were presented.
•	Remain abreast of current legislative and non-legislative issues about which the Congressman may be questioned.

Communications Director / Press Secretary

Drafted, developed and implemented all legislative initiatives. Served as the primary point of contact on all legislative activities for the Congressman by managing all bills, formal appropriations requests, and correspondence to federal agencies. Served as a liaison to Republican and Democratic leadership regarding member's legislatives priorities. 
•	Trained and supervised junior legislative staff on legislative issues, parliamentary procedures and constituent relations.
•	Monitored legislative developments and activity on House Floor.
•	Formulated legislative initiatives by gathering support for proposals internally and externally, meeting with government relations executives and advocates from various industries.
•	Prepared briefings and memos regarding policy and vote recommendations.
•	Drafted constituent correspondence and met regularly with constituents and local advocacy groups. 
•	Served as Member's liaison to Financial Services, Homeland Security and International Relations Committees.
