I was responsible for standardising the Cloud & Network services division, introducing standard architecture principals, new product offerings, how these were packaged, sold and progressed into a managed service. Keeping to ISO27001 standards and following NIST and PCI-DSS standards of service separation and security.

I was responsible for pre-sale activities with customers, meetings, presentations, workshops, demo's/PoC's, BoM's and passing this through the process into delivery while keeping my hands-on skills during delivery and escalations.

I worked with the account managers to ensure they were prepared and skilled to present the technical solution if required and to scope out customer prospects by understanding the terms to look out for.

Joining the team, I have been responsible for modernising the business processes and architectural principles, consolidating business units, and integrating newly acquired brands into the larger Cox group. 

I performed a Global Audit of its 280 sites and devices before creating a Greenfield design of the new network. I completed the RFI & RFP for the new WAN, LAN, WLAN, Cloud and Datacentre managed services. I have also been responsible for the internal growth of the Service Desk across the business which supports 77000 employees across five continents.

Working with the business, I provided a stable and secure Global Network designed to exceed business requirements. I delivered a Global Networking Request for Information and Request for Proposal to select a new Global Network Provider of LAN, WAN & WLAN services for Cussons global locations, some of which are in difficult to reach places, such as areas of Africa. 
Along side an implementation of Amazon AWS cloud to remove local data centre footprint.

Walgreens Boots Alliance

Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. is the holding company that owns the retail pharmacy chains Walgreens and Boots, as well as several pharmaceutical manufacturing, wholesale, and distribution companies.

My role was to restructure the healthcare alliances in Europe with the US wholesale supply chain so that all shops within a locality were served by one truck rather than several trucks attending the same location on the same day from the same depot. This required a complete overhaul of its systems.  

Within the role, I:

•	Supported the Infrastructure Division with their network requirements 
•	Provided workshops and all aspects of high-level designs along with Statement of Works.
•	Implemented Amazon AWS cloud and workload migrations
•	Delivered customer briefing sessions, technology updates and strategy planning.
•	Cisco Networking Design over the 3 Primary UK Data Centres and 8 International locations.

Dell is one of the most well-known PC & Server companies in the world. My role was primarily pre-sales around Networking, Storage & Virtualisation technologies; it also involved working with partners delivering technology updates, strategy planning & seminars. The main part of my role was around VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation solutions.

I have been in IT since 1997, starting in field service and working my way up to Architect level.
My journey has taught me so much about how different businesses use technology, how they evolve and being a contractor looking in from the outside a fresh perspective for them.
I have delivered network solutions (MPLS, SD-WAN, LAN, WLAN), cloud solution (AWS, Azure) and security solutions (Firewall, VPN, SASE, Zscaler) for many large enterprise customers.
I am self taught and funded my own certifications being a contractor, I have invested in lab equipment and ensure I do the best for my customers. Majority of my roles have been from referrals.
I always work for my customer to ensure the solution provided is right for them, their requirements, budget & timelines. I have seen a lot of people pushing solutions because of the commission or kickbacks. I only work with providers that I trust and I know how to work with.
