In my role as the Marketing Lead for Business Transformation I developed sophisticated strategies for marketing technology, digital marketing and e-commerce.

Through my team, I launched an integrated marketing technology stack including a new cloud-based Digital Asset Management (DAM) Platform and a new Product Information Management (PIM) Platform to streamline business operations, increase speed to market and support and enrich e-commerce product data.

I was responsible for the strategic development of the company's omni-channel strategy through the development of an in-store touchscreen kiosk platform. The platform increased customer retention by 20% and increase annual in-store revenue by more than 5%. By Q3 2019, the kiosk were deployed in 100+ retail locations across Canada.

I helped establish a new employee engagement program for the company and provided HR with real-time employee net promoter scores (eNPS), and feedback to promote a more positive corporate culture with the goals of reducing employee turnover.  In addition to lowering employee turn over, we forecasted a 20% lift in sales.

Integral to the digital marketing office, I provided senior-level management and direction to a team of nine digital marketing professionals, allocating and controlling budgets of $5.0M in the oversight and development of:

Taking a purely data-driven approach to multi-channel marketing initiatives, I implemented an innovative mix of analytics, business intelligence and web-based tools for improved decision-making and business planning strategies. I designed a number of A/B testing procedures and compared the results of ad campaigns for improved CTR of website creatives and conversion on-site.

I advised social media, brand marketing and awareness teams of effective design strategies for the development of creative marketing collateral, further standardizing publishing procedures and requirements for creative asset management across hyper-local campaigns and social media initiatives. Together, we evolved SEM strategies across all major social networks, geo-locational and search engine-based platforms.

We improved content marketing, SEO, SEM, social media and e-commerce strategies, increasing web traffic by 50%+ year-over-year (YOY). E-Commerce sales also increased by more than 100% through enhanced user experiences and improved user interface technologies. Automating marketing strategies, I reduced the cost of in-store visits by more than 10%. We began personalizing digital marketing campaigns and analyzed the effectiveness of creatives, based on targets, alone.

By implementing continuous CX research and development methodologies for the Ashley and Dufresne websites, I then used various cross-browser technologies to optimize the user experience with higher rates of conversion. We saw a 100% YOY increase in e-Commerce revenue and a 50% lift in web traffic, overall.

Senior Manager, E-Commerce & Digital Strategy

Leading and directing all social media, digital marketing and advertising initiatives for the various retail brands, I oversaw budgets of $750K+ and increased e-commerce sales in just six months. I  doubled the size of existing email marketing lists and built effective omni-channel campaigns for increased web engagement.

Adding contests, giveaways and on-site promotions to each web domain, we saw an increase and a dramatic impact in web sales and conversions ratios. Increasing e-commerce sales by more than 100% YOY, I doubled conversions, while increasing the performance of digital advertising campaigns. Spearheading complex content marketing strategies,  we integrated customer buying histories with remarketing tactics, while further utilizing advanced SEO tactics and clear calls-to-action to increase web traffic, guage sales metrics and influence brand perception overall.

Utilizing a number of white hat marketing strategies in the design of awareness campaigns and ecommerce sales initiatives, I developed web platforms and collateral under implementation of SEO best practice strategies, while causing all collateral to place above that of competition within each major search engine. I encouraged in-store traffic for local customers, creating in-store contests, and point-of-purchase incentives.

Increasing new interests in popular brands and product lines, we saw a 12% increase in returning web traffic, whereas industry average falls below 5%. Customer lists grew by more than 200% in just eight months, while carrying a 24% open rate with conversions reaching more than 132%. Althought we increased web traffic by 29%+, 99% of customer purchases took place in-store. We led an increase of 5-star reviews across web domains and further improved response rates of 18% in 22 or more days to that of 98% in less than 1.5.

The performance of digital ads were improved by 200% through improved audience targeting, as organic growth of SEO strategies drove 29%.

Key in the hiring and oversight of digital advertising, social media, eCRM and web development teams.
Providing direct oversight to six reports within the digital department, I managed a multidisciplinary team of creative professionals, project managers, web developers, social media experts and inbound marketing specialists. I also created measurable strategies for the deployment of web development, email marketing, online advertising, social media and experiential marketing campaigns.

I worked closely with our sales team to develop growth marketing and account based marketing for the agency. I assisted with the implementation with HubSpot and other marketing technology and worked closely with our sales team to develop content and pitch decks to develop leads into clients.

Securing preliminary finance and investments for a start-up venture in hyper-locational based advertising, I raised more than $500K in pre-seed capital, as the COO and co-founder of the organization. I, then, added four or more sales representatives to the intial team of two, securing an additional $100k in investment capital, while launching patented technologies into markets across the US and Canada.

Providing advertisers with immediate access to active consumers, across a variety of venues within their immediate markets, we provided them with real-time data, as segmented by gender, demographic and purchasing-related activities. Leveraging the potential of geo-locational advertising, I also negotiated contracts with professional sports teams, liquor companies and organizations in travel, hospitality and leisure. This included strategic leasing agreements at professional sporting venues, casinos and hotels across North America.  

Taking charge of all testing and quality assurance strategies, I developed a series of user acceptance testing (UAT), automated marketing strategies and crowd-testing techniques, while working in conjunction with business units to ensure performance impact prior to launch.  I conducted weekly review meetings with stakeholders, business and IT departments to discuss upcoming projects and system updates of primary importance, while regularly discussing the ever-changing needs of business.

I also established an internal advisory board, comprised of a former minister of science, energy and technology, a first-nations investor and economic developer, a lead investor and a supplier --  gaining powerful knowledge and direction, on-site, which influenced better decision-making on-the-fly.

Pioneering a plethora of marketing strategies for a well-known law firm in corporate, commercial, labour and employment law, I modernized marketing initiatives and established a firm foundation for digital marketing capabilities for the firm going forward.

Engaged in both digital and traditional media strategies, including a series of print, web and media initiatives, I ultimately led this law firm to become the first regional law firm with an active social media presence, responsive mobile website and video conferencing capabilities. Rolling out a number of systems integrations, I implemented a firm-wide CRM-based system for improved client relations, eDiscovery solutions and the onboarding of new hires, while training internal teams on the use of CRM systems and  leading the forefront of digital transformation, change management and digital marketing for an organization with no previous digital or marketing capabilities.

Engaged in regular public relations, advertising and media relations strategies, I secured relevant media buys and advertised the firm across a number of digital and traditional media-related channels throughout Manitoba. I arranged for interviews with local television and radio stations, introducing the general public to key lawyers within the firm and encouraged new clients to inquire on various legal topics, therein.

Reducing unnecessary travel expenses by $100K+, annually, I focused on the development of an innovative client-centric platform, which allowed for the implementation of a secure, client extranet for confidential file sharing and encrypted video conferencing capabilities. I implemented automated CRM processes that would lead to significant savings for the law firm and cut manual data entry for two full-time employees by 40 working days per year.
