"Are you always like this?" That's what the CEO asked after we exchanged our morning greetings. I vividly remember the conversation. It took place in the parking lot of the country club. It was 7:30 am and I was there to facilitate a strategy session for her and her team. We both arrived early and parked next to each other. "Like what?" I asked. "Upbeat, positive, and optimistic?" "Almost always! After all, it is our choice, isn't it?" Then, my son met another CEO I worked with when she addressed his company.
