In late 2021, I tried to retire. Retirement and I did not get along. For 18 years (2003 - 2021) I was the CEO of Rains Family CARSTAR Group. Here’s how that went: -Grew from one small shop to 5 locations -Learned how to grow organically + through acquisitions -Revenue grew from $20k/month to $1M+/month We decided to sell our shops in 2021 and I tried to retire… But the desire to build family legacy and serve other leaders got the better of me. I soon found myself launching another business with my children called Dappled Light Adventures - a retreat center near Red River Gorge, KY. I now spend my time: -Hosting retreats at our land in KY -Coaching business owners and their teams -Helping leaders scale both profits and purpose with legacy in mind -Living out one of our families’ core values regularly (hospitality) - Co-leading One17 Foundation - a non-profit focused on orphan care through adoption grants - Writing – I’m finishing up a book due out in 2024 called: From Launch to Legacy Let's connect! kevin.rains@eosworldwide.com
