Lead Sales Engineer - Mid-Market and Enterprise

As a Sales Engineer / Solution Consultant, I went between high-level strategy and right in the weeds with marketing teams every day, learning from them and sharing stories of the other innovative marketing leaders who I’ve worked with during my time in Marketing Tech.

MarTech is a massive space. With thousands and thousands of options, marketers are faced with an enormous challenge to find technology that will add value to their strategic efforts. In my role as a sales engineer/solutions consultant at Uberflip, I worked closely with our sales and success teams to ensure that we were setting up our future customers for success by customizing our solutions to fit their business needs.

My specialties are in ABM, demand generation, and inbound go-to-market strategies, and I take pride in my ability to ask the right questions to learn about a business and a marketing team.

I loved the multidisciplinary aspect of the role. I had to support our sales team, I had to be an expert marketer, and I had to understand our product and other MarTech platforms in detail. I was always happy to talk strategically or practically on the latest in understanding and catering to the complex and ever-changing buyer’s journey.

Platforms I played with: Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot, Salesforce Sales & Marketing Clouds (lots of CRM and Pardot), GA/GTM, Adobe Analytics/Launch, 6sense, Demandbase, Terminus, Bombora, Rollworks, Drift, Intercom, Segment, Vidyard, Wistia, Brightcove, and more

Things I did: technical consulting, product demonstrations, validation (e.g. marketing automation integrations), SEO, security reviews, RFPs, and whatever else was required to make a future or current customer successful

•	Coached instructors to iterate and improve on course designs
•	Launched and headed up SEM: generated 6x cost of campaign in revenue within 3 months

In other roles I've worked with Fortune 500 CMOs to transform how they go to market with content, I've helped kids get better therapy online, I've helped train world-class public speakers, I've interviewed the people of Toronto to find out their stories, and I've maintained my curiosity in two areas - what the issue is and how best to solve it. 

After doing my graduate work in the social science of artificial intelligence, I now live somewhere at the intersection of culture, technology, business, and design. I can't forget humour, my first love since my family forced me to watch hours upon hours of Monty Python at a young age.

Oh... and I also won Big Brother Canada.
