The work as the design engineer intern contains the characterization of packaging-induced effects on the output behavior of the pressure sensor and the creation of a model to describe full adhesive and package properties of the sensor and their influence on short-term as well as long-term effects of the pressure sensors' die performance.
Work entailed:
•      Full understanding of the different die designs and the consequences of the stress distribution throughout the pressure sensor system
•      In-depth knowledge of the materials that are used for the sensor and its package.
•      Advanced understanding of viscoelastic effects of polymer-based materials
•      Creating an adjustable model with all materials parameters in Ansys
•	Decreasing testing time by moving characterization tests to simulation environment
•	Characterizing and simulating semiconductor packaging materials 
•	Testing and characterizing production-related equipment
•	Data Analysis in Excel
•	Sensor and sensor packaging characterization 


Other works in the R&D department included but were not limited to:
•	Updating and writing new software in C++ and Excel VBA for existing characterization systems. 
•	Writing a fully automated data analysis tool for the characterization system in Excel VBA
•	Characterization of various different pressure sensors and analysis of their performance
•	Programming production-related equipment in LabView
•	Working closely with vendors for multiple buy-offs of production relevant tools 
SQL database maintenance and implementing changes

R&D Design Engineer

Work entails:
•	Analysing different industries and projecting trends
•	Writing financial analysis of different publicly tradable companies
•	Analyzing businesses and business segments

Change comes with resistance from many cooperating levels. It requires trust from top-level leadership and consistent effort. 

Taiicho Ohno, the creator of Toyota's Kanban system, earned the trust of his leadership even when employees complained about the changes he was implementing across Toyota's production plants.

The integration of Kanban and the change of Toyota's production methods took 10 years. Toyota's top management likely experienced a lot of pressure due to a lack of understanding of the Kanban system or no faith that it could outperform existing manufacturing methods.

We're now in the era of digital transformation, and in conversations, I realize the same resistance. While the purpose of digital transformation is understandable, its effects are not as clear. Everyone wants immediate benefits, not those that materialize in three, five, or even ten years. 

The change in manufacturing and working methods experienced resistance similar to that experienced by Toyota's environment 75 years ago. 

Visionaries want to realize change and improvement, and the forces against which they act are strong. 
Perseverance is key to integrating lasting changes across the business.

This applies to your personal life as well. Change doesn't happen suddenly. It's gradual, sometimes even barely recognizable. But it's there!
