This journey has been my most demanding, yet incredibly fulfilling adventure! I'm proudly a mama to 2 babies, born just 16 months apart. This phase has been all about embracing change, and let me tell you, it's been a whirlwind:

I bid farewell to London, my cherished home of 14 years, where I thrived as an entrepreneur and a globetrotter. A big move indeed!

Back in Melbourne, I immersed myself in the rhythm of life with my first baby, navigating the challenges of a newborn and family dynamics. Amidst it all, I managed to purchase a home, embarking on the rollercoaster of renovations. And guess what? I didn't let go of my passion for exploration. My little ones and I continued our travels, exploring both local wonders and international gems.

This chapter has been about reinventing myself, rekindling my passions, and redefining my path as a dedicated working mum. The canvas of possibilities is vast, and I'm fearlessly reimagining what lies ahead.

Through all the ups and downs, this journey has taught me the art of adaptability and the boundless capacity of a mother's love. Here's to embracing change and shaping our futures, one exciting step at a time!

I was recommended by one of the HoD during my stint at MOO and was introduced to the VP of Englishtown; the technology division within EF.  My role was not only to implement a recruitment process for this division but also to figure out a way forward to transform what is perceived as a "boring, educational sector" to becoming a sexy place to work using the latest cutting edge technology to design products that transform learning. Within my first month, I was asked to do the same for their other divisions across Hult Business School, EF Exchange, EF Creative placing people in Zurich, Shanghai, and London.

I was approached by an ex-client to assist him in designing, implementing and managing a bespoke end-to-end recruitment process for each business unit. It allowed me to leverage all my experience and interactions that I have had with other clients to provide a process that was true to the MOO brand and ethos. Within the 6 months, my streamlined process achieved over 40 hires across the business including hiring and training my replacement.

I was assigned to take over a dormant business unit and bring it back to life however after weeks of analyzing the space - I identified new business opportunities within this unit by diversifying levels and roles to existing clients and using this structure as a bench mark to bring in new clients.  This also meant I had to quickly learn these new non technical requirements and build a database of online Commercial, Product Technologist.  

This was where my journey with eBay began and thus opened many doors and increased my network.

A couple of key takeaways from Day 1 keynote at #googlecloudnext:
- The power of BQ + Vertex + Gemini continues to evolve, from new hardware to integrations at scale and continued expansion of supported models in the garden, the performance and value and scope of the many customer use cases demonstrated continues to grow
- Gemini for Workspace continues to impress.  Being able to generate content, the ability to reference documents in Google Drive and perform multi-modal search (including video & audio, as well as docs/emails) is a powerful weapon for non-technical users.  Companies who are able to harness this via training their workforce will create more mind space for truly differentiated strategic tasks, and avoid more mundane activities.
- A new workspace product (google Vid) for creating video looks compelling, looking forward to testing it out
- What I was surprised by: Didn’t know Mercredes and Google were collaborating on self-driving cars (watch the keynote recording!!!)
- Final thought - there is so much power in the many productionised AI use cases shown today for most verticals (FSI, Retail, Technology, Auto, Professional Services to name a few), but they require more and more that you data house is in order.  Data Maturity for AI is an imperative that most enterprises need to solve now

→ Entrepreneur: Navigate obstacles with long-term strategies.

Performance Reviews; outdated, demoralising, and frankly, a colossal waste of your time 

Strength-based coaching - Up-to-date, confidence-building, and a cost-effective solution for long-term success.

In my experience of serving many startups and scaleups,
↳ I've seen the impact of performance reviews, especially Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs):

🔴 It mostly points out what's not going right, which can be scary.
🔴 Same plan for everyone instead of what each person needs.
🔴 Problems happen when people aren't doing what they're best at.
🔴 Expecting everyone to do everything instead of focusing on strengths.
🔴 It's rare, maybe once or twice a year. It's worse when the issue has been there for months, and you give the employee a month or two to fix it

It's no secret that traditional performance reviews can be daunting
↳ often leaving employees feeling judged rather than motivated.

But what if we shifted our focus from closely looking at weaknesses to amplifying strengths? 
↳ Here’s what strength-based coaching is all about:

🟢 Looks at what's going well and encourages getting even better.
🟢 Plans based on what each person is good at, making learning more fun.
🟢 Regular praise to help people feel good about their work and do better.

What if the assessment results increase competition or rivalry among team members?

If this sounds like you here's a reality check 

Being a strength-based facilitator, I have seen many leaders have this objection that CliftonStrengths tests might:
→ Lead to competition instead of teamwork.
→ Make people want to prove they're the best.

But, the point is to turn this competition into teamwork.

We need to show how each person's strengths help everyone else, making the team stronger as a whole

Here’s the 5 steps process that I suggest them to turn competition into collaboration,

1. Focus on team achievements over personal recognition.
↳ Highlight how everyone's strengths contribute to team goals.

2. Assign tasks based on different strengths.
↳ Promoting an interdependent team that values each other’s unique contribution.

3. Celebrate how individual strengths contribute to the team’s dynamics 
↳ Seeing every skill set as crucial to teams’ success.

4. Talk about teamwork and personal growth using CliftonStrengths results
↳ Encourage collaboration over competition.

5. Leaders should use their strengths to support the team.
↳ Create a culture of teamwork, not rivalry.

Remember, when we use CliftonStrengths assessments the right way, we make teamwork easier. 

We can work together better and achieve more as a team
↳ by understanding each other's strengths.
