Looking back, I made many mistakes.

Some mistakes cost you time.
Some cost you money.

Here are the ones that sting the most:

→ Working for free too long:
I thought free work would lead to paid work. It didn’t. It just attracted more “free work” requests. 

Takeaway: Charge early. People value what they pay for.

→ Not charging in advance: Still waiting on $1125 + $396 from Oct/Dec 2024. Never again.

Takeaway: Charge upfront. No exceptions.

→ Comparing my journey to others:
Focused on what others were doing instead of staying in my lane.

Takeaway: Growth isn’t a race. Focus on your own path.

→ Over Delivering for underpaying clients:
The ones who paid the least demanded the most.

Takeaway: Set clear expectations. Paying clients respect your time and expertise.
