I was intrigued by the banter and back and forth and the level of knowledge and passion for Economic Development in terms of sustainability. This was influenced by how Africans struggle to participate in an Economy. Since then I have had many opportunities to work and learn with others in and out of entrepreneurship, plans and long term strategies to begin to reverse our economic decline. All of this led me to apply for the director position at one of the start up financial consulting firm in 2017 where I figured maybe I could “do” something to help. For the last 7 years I assisted companies to raise more than $200 000 through venture capital and loan. And they reach a turn over of more than $70 000. In Jan 2023 I back down to take an advantage of local industrialisation. Health is a major issue to our people and being able to treat affected people is a major issue for our government. One of the major health issues is skin complaints which range from skin cancer to blood poisoning (sepsis). The current solutions to help prevent these skin conditions are emulsion-based (water-based). I started to make a research with an aim of coming up with an alternative product. I completed research within 10 months and realized only a plant-oil based product which goes into the skin and does not wash or sweat off your body will provide a treatment that can meet our specific needs and only needs. It has shown it would take me at least three years to develop my own products. It also revealed that there is a perfectly good underutilized product already on the market that would meet our needs and the owners of the technology are looking to distribute their products around the world by way of product license. My results: 1. In Nov 2023, I concluded a partnership agreement (FutecSA Holdings) with the owners of the technology to work together in building up the project. 2. Jan 2024, I co-founded a Non Profit Organization focusing on Education and Healthcare Services.
