With a rich and diverse career spanning over 19 years in the Furniture Retail and B2B industry across APAC and the UK, I bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and a global perspective to the table. Having lived abroad in vibrant and fast-paced cities, I've honed my professional toolkit through continuous learning, including coaching, sales, and training seminars, as well as coursework at the prestigious HKUST Business School. My journey commenced at Denmark's most globally renowned furniture brand, BoConcept. Progressing from a Trainee to a General Manager, I logged over 200 days on the road annually, facilitating seminars, in-store training, and store openings in 14 Asian countries. Along the way, I navigated diverse business cultures and demonstrated adaptability and agility. I had the privilege of spearheading the launch of 15 new stores while gaining insights into different business acumen. A pivotal career move led me to China, where I assumed the role of General Manager for BoConcept China. Here, I managed seven company-owned stores in Shanghai and Beijing, oversaw 23 franchisee stores across the country, and led a dynamic team of over 40 colleagues. I carried full P&L responsibility, reporting to a professional Board. Subsequently, I joined A Matter of Design, a Hong Kong company, and played a vital role as the Franchisee for BoConcept, with responsibility for two stores and the opening of a third in Causeway Bay. Notably, we established the first Flagship Brand Store in Asia for Tom Dixon, situated in the trendy heart of Central Hong Kong. Upon returning to Denmark, I took on the role of Key Account Manager at Actona, engaging in high-level communication and negotiations with senior buyers, including the UK's second-largest supermarket chain and various other retailers and e-commerce customers. Despite worldwide travel restrictions, I attended major Furniture shows with my colleagues, including the AIS Show and IndX show in Birmingham, UK. I am now seeking new challenges and opportunities in the Furniture Retail and B2B industry, leveraging my extensive experience, global insights, and a track record of driving success in diverse marketplaces.
