Kim Falk is an expert in machine learning that specializes in recommender systems. Until recently, he worked at Shopify, where he was the subject matter expert and technical lead of the Product Recommendations team. Previously, he has worked on recommenders for customers like IKEA, British Telecom and RTL. and created Danish NLP models for named entity extraction and Deep Learning classifiers to predict verdicts of legal cases. Kim is also the author of the "Practical Recommender Systems" book (currently writing 2ed). Industry Co-chair for the ACM Recommender Systems Conference 2019 and 2020.
