I'm a lifelong learner and especially passionate about cybersecurity. I have an insatiable need to understand how things work. I've worked in the IT field for 23 years, the last 17+ as a cybersecurity analyst and incident responder. I started my career in software development and transitioned to systems administration before entering cybersecurity in 2007. I love writing code (primarily Python and Django) and spend a good portion of my time designing and developing internal applications to automate SOC and IR processes. After building and managing a 24x7 offshore SOC team at Infor, I've transitioned to an individual contributor role. In my current role, I bridge the SOC and IR teams to mentor junior analysts and develop applications to improve processes and response times.
