That ah-ha moment. A smile that lights up their whole face. The moment when someone realizes they can do it! This is what motivates me as an educator. I am a teacher, coach, and leader. Supporting personal, academic, and professional growth in schools is my passion. I’ve had the privilege of doing so with children and teachers on four continents. In my 20+ years as an educator, my journey has led me to develop curriculum, establish new programs, and be a positive influence for change. My colleagues describe me as a collaborator. I strive to be a contributing team member, whether I’m facilitating a guided reading group for students or a professional learning community of educators. I want to be part of the conversation, support, and action that moves people and schools forward and helps us learn together. When I’m not at school, I’m getting dirt under my fingernails in the garden or sitting in the sun with a good book. Hopping on a plane to a new destination with my husband is my favorite hobby, but a meal with good friends can’t be beat either.
