I am an environmental scientist who loves to reveal the stories hidden in data. Data hold secrets, hidden just beneath the surface, and I work to find those insights and share them visually and verbally. As a scientist, I am a natural analyst and answer seeker. Having data at my fingertips makes me feel giddy because I can dive in to explore patterns and causes. I am in the zone when I am coding, mapping, or visualizing something. As a multifaceted data scientist, with an aptitude for data storytelling, I explore questions, wrangle data, build models, and communicate results. 🟡 I translated complex technical data products into simple and engaging stories that were featured at 10+ conferences, used to onboard new employees, generated 60+ sales leads, and incorporated into marketing email campaigns for 6,000 viewers. 🟡 I built a patent-pending community flood risk and resilience product using R programming and spatial analysis, which enabled 50+ towns to prioritize climate resilience planning. 🟡 I informed a federal wetland restoration program by elegantly visualizing over 1 million water level measurements, which improved the management of 250 wetland projects. ℳ𝓎 ℴ𝓌𝓃 𝓈𝓉ℴ𝓇𝓎 started over two decades ago when, as a kid, I experienced an abrupt transition by moving from rural Poland to urban NYC. This move set me on a long and beloved path of environmental stewardship. Today, I combine years of research experience in the natural sciences to solve impactful environmental challenges. I am a mom of 3 girls and I take pride in being a female scientist, data geek, and a PhD.
