I am a graduate of the Water Resource Engineering Technology at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. I have been fortunate to gain practical experience through an eight-month work term at the Water Security Agency. During this time, I worked as a technical assistant, actively contributing to various divisions such as Surveying, Operations and Maintenance, Hydrometric, Geotechnical, and Infrastructure Engineering. Within these divisions, my responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks. I conducted topographic surveys, measured lakes and streams, monitored the geotechnical aspects of dams, and participated in the day-to-day operations of these vital structures. This hands-on experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into the intricacies of managing our province's watersheds, further deepening my understanding of their significance. In addition to my studies, I have also had a diverse career background. Initially, my professional journey revolved around commercial food and wine production, strongly emphasizing hospitality and tourism. As a winemaker, I was fortunate to work internationally, gaining invaluable experience through consecutive harvests in Australia, British Columbia, California, and Chile. Subsequently, I settled in British Columbia and assumed leadership roles within four well-established, award-winning wineries. Eventually, I partnered with Dunham & Froese Estate Winery, where my contributions were recognized with numerous industry awards, including the prestigious 2008 British Columbia New Winery of the Year Award. Furthermore, Tony Aspler, the author of Wineries of Canada, ranked us as the "number two up-and-coming winery to watch in Canada" in the same year. After relocating to Moose Jaw, SK, I began another entrepreneurial endeavour by conceptualizing and establishing Coteau Hills Creamery. This artisan cheese production company quickly gained traction, supplying high-quality products to retail and wholesale clients across Saskatchewan. Although I have since taken a step back from day-to-day operations, I continue to oversee the creamery's activities, ensuring its continued success. I bring a unique blend of academia and a rich professional food and wine production background. With my diverse skill set and unwavering dedication, I am poised to significantly contribute to water resource management, ultimately shaping a sustainable future for our communities.
