William Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players”. These wise words, written in 1599, are even more relevant in the complex and technologically advanced world in which we live today. 

Think about it this way. When your brand shows up in the world, do you realize the brand, just like a human being, has its own time and place on the proverbial stage? Do you think about the role it plays? How it interacts with people? And, upon the stage, how does it move people to action? 

The interaction between a brand and its audiences may take place in any number of places: on a retail floor, inside a conference room, at a corporate event, or on a website, just to name a few. These places of engagement are the stages upon which the brand shows up.

Since 2004, the team here at Heroic has been supporting live event production with award-winning video, audio, and lighting - critical components that make or break any live production. In 2020 we added high-impact virtual production and Speakers & Entertainment to our core capabilities. In 2021, Heroic Productions emerged as a complete, creative production partner helping our clients from strategy, creative, production, through run of show.

In my role at Heroic, I help our clients design and execute their brand experiences upon the stages that are most important to them and their audiences.

As Director of Brand Strategy, I had two primary responsibilities. 

As a member of the business development team, I focused on discovering and closing new business opportunities to meet the financial goals of the company. This involved general prospecting, networking, and consulting. Target prospects included brands that see value in the principles of experiential marketing and using physical experiences as part of their marketing strategy. My clients' projects ranged from large branded events, corporate interiors, retail environments, brand activations, and exhibits. Keys to success in this role included the ability to uncover new opportunities, consult on the fundamentals of branding and experiential marketing, scoping projects, selling value, and premium execution. 

The second area of responsibility included leading and managing the overall brand strategy and marketing effort for STAR with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator as direct reports. In this role, I led development of the yearly marketing plan that included content development, social media, and events.

Star is a creative agency that specializes in strategy, design, engineering, fabrication and installation of branded environments and experiences. I worked closely with companies of all shapes and sizes to infuse brand strategy and design into physical and face-to-face marketing opportunities.

The Nancekivell Group

The Nancekivell Group was best known for its expertise in investor communications. Joining the TNG team was a deep dive into the world of corporate communications and annual reports. My role focused on maintaining their impressive list of Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 clients as well as growing the client base as SEC regulations changed the landscape of public company reporting. During my time at TNG, I excelled at selling the intangible qualities of design and branding. I was with TNG for two years and helped increase billings for the firm each year.

After leaving Duplication Factory, I was excited to join DW Advertising in a business development capacity. Working with a great team with expertise in direct mail and direct response TV, we helped clients including Select Comfort and SunSetter Awnings increase sales and build their brand. In my role as Account Executive, I was responsible for managing and growing Duplication Factory's business from the Northeast territory of the United States. Primarily focused on advertising agencies and large, corporate marketing departments, I promoted the merits of one-to-one video direct mail and complete fulfillment services. My clients included Entertainment Weekly, IBM, Young & Rubicam, Bozell Worldwide, Reader's Digest and Wegman's, amongst many others. I was an active member of the Direct Marketing Association.

As the VP of Client Brand Experience at Heroic Productions, I work with a team of strategic, creative and technical professionals who design and produce events that showcase the brand's story, values, and vision.
