Panasonic is a global leader in technology products, providing components to millions of vehicles, critical batteries for Tesla and other EV manufacturers, and key technology innovations in rugged computing for first responders with ~$65B in annual global revenue. Panasonic's Smart Mobility Office builds applications that leverage vehicle communications (like V2X, Telematics, and 5G) to improve safety, mobility, and efficiency for departments of transportation, first responders, and commercial logistics fleets.  The Cirrus Connected Vehicle Platform ties edge hardware deployed on vehicles and roadway infrastructure to the cloud, providing clarity into system status, visibility into performance, and confidence in measurable mobility outcomes.

As Head of Product, I'm leading product strategy for Cirrus to drive innovation in connected vehicle solutions. I work across both the Smart Mobility Businesses and global Panasonic divisions to connect the dots between the many mobility innovations Panasonic delivers. Working with our partners and customers, I lead Cirrus product roadmap planning and execution touching both hardware and software solutions in a range of domains such as mobility, IoT, communication, cloud architecture, and vehicle sensing.

iMerit Technology

iMerit provides AI product data labeling and training solutions leveraging more than 3000 expert staff across Aisia, Europe, and North America to support many of the world's largest companies in industries ranging through automotive, communication, finance, legal military and government. 

I bought my deep expertise in law, AI products, and govTech to represent the voice of the customer helping clients get practical results from properly annotated AI datasets which in turn allowed them to focus on their core product development. During my tenure, I worked with our tooling developers (internal and external) to expand the systems we used to support our projects including building new functionality to handle legal document annotation at scale, developing secure pipelines for government data projects, and improving language-based data annotation workflows to achieve better accuracy and higher throughput.

AI Products Specialist

NoTraffic 

NoTraffic builds AI powered traffic signal technology that optimizes real time traffic flow to improve safety at traffic lights, reduce delay and congestion, and reduce emissions. NoTraffic's unique SaaS software plus advanced hardware solution leverages cutting edge machine vision techniques and AI traffic queue algorithms to detect cars, trucks, bikes, pedestrians, transit and emergency vehicles at intersections and automatically optimize signal timing for better mobility outcomes. Operating across North America, NoTraffic is deployed with dozens of agencies and in 2023 raised a $50 million series A to continue development and customer acquisition. 

As the First US based employee, I lead the hardware and software roadmaps from the first customer pilot to commercial launch. Through hands-on customer discovery I distilled required MVP functionality, validated feature operations in our early deployments and managed integration of customer data sources. I brought our user interface to life, wrote the requirements of our first production edge-IoT sensors, and defined product interfaces with legacy traffic management hardware. My customer demos closed more than $400,000 in pre-sales paid pilots to expand our real-world product testing.

City of Redlands

The City of Redlands is nestled in the foothills of Southern California, about 65 miles east of Los Angeles.  Redlands has a population of 70,000 and a public works budget of more than $70 million annually. The city hosts the global headquarters of ESRI (the GIS mapping giant) and boasts a thriving tech community.  

Based on my early success attracting grant funding for technology projects for Redlands, I was asked to launch and manager the regions first "smart city" program. Under my leadership we developed a range of government technology innovations touching nearly all city operations from water utility control technology upgrades to improved trash collection via advanced routing, to intelligent first responder software connecting dispatch, public safety, and traffic operations for faster response times. My product portfolio included both software (GIS apps & permitting) and hardware products (traffic signal comms & water utility industrial controls) development in a unique for government agile process.  

Key accomplishments of Smart Redlands included:

-More than $5 million in new grant funding from multiple state and federal agencies was awarded through my work in support of a range of capital and technology projects and programs.

-Adoption of a first-in-the-world AI powered traffic signal platform deployed in partnership with private sector investment.

Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire

My research into corporate-social-responsibility best practices significantly shaped the Make-A-Wish corporate fundraising strategy for the local chapter, ultimately scaling into a national effort which I helped to lead. 

-I raised $1.5 million in annual corporate donations in my first year, an increase over prior budgets.

-I contributed my expertise in non-profit operations to local community groups such as The PICK Group for young professionals in order to build community capacity. 

-I was invited to share my passion for better corporate community investments through speaking engagements at several large area fundraisers.

As a recent law school graduate, I combined my domain expertise in law and my significant writing talent to help a number of my classmates launch highly successful legal professions. As my practice grew, I expanded to serve as a campaign strategist for local political candidates, ultimately helping to halve a 10% registration disadvantage for a state assembly race.

While the candidates I supported didn't win state-wide office, I learned a great deal about political strategy, news-writing, and organization operations.

-Day to day, I ghostwrote blogs, developed blog-based websites in WordPress, managed social media and built fundraising campaigns. 

-I raised $40,000 in under three months for a local chamber of commerce, preventing a collapse of the organization and turning around prior management missteps.

I managed day-to-day operations at two assisted living facilities with revenue exceeding $2.5 million annually. In this role, I developed and maintained a roughly $100,000 monthly expense budget, managed building repairs contracts, and handled shift staffing and employment issues.

I manage strategy for complex product portfolios and have 10 years product management expertise across government, startups, and fortune 500s. I work with sales, technical experts, engineering teams, and business leadership to find product market fit for layered solutions that involve both hardware and software components - a space that requires unique expertise in both domains. 

I lead product teams building SaaS & IoT solutions involving transportation and public infrastructure where I’m a polymath who loves gnarly problems of any kind. I am known for ravenously consuming new information and then connecting the dots others missed.

- In my work with Panasonic, I have developed several innovative market-first approaches to scale connected vehicle solutions in a space with shifting regulatory, market, and technology dynamics that has stymied most other efforts to date. 

- I have previously scaled AI traffic management solutions from inception to commercial success through close collaboration with traffic industry professionals that ensured we built the right things at the right time for our partners.
