I am a Market Maker. I believe BETTER is always possible. I develop food businesses that are irresistible – to consumers, channels, and investors – propelling scalable growth. My earliest childhood memories are of building businesses. I was 8 years old when I identified my first “market gap,” and I learned that gaps are sometimes there for a reason (I might tell you the story under the right circumstances). I’ve spent my career focusing that entrepreneurial energy on building and transforming food businesses, from creating Nestle’s first DTC pet food business to applying a lens of Food Justice to develop a margin accretive consumer oil brand. From the farmer to the consumer, I understand what it takes to make better food relevant. I have deep experience applying consumer insights and motivations regarding food and food production to build businesses. I empathize with the challenges farmers face in figuring out how to produce better food while remaining profitable and sustainable. And I know what it takes for a food company to create better food for consumers, bring it to market profitably, and scale a business. All these things must work together for our food system to evolve. My leadership philosophy is one of empowerment. I empower people to do BIG things and inspire them to do HARD things. I do this by helping each person, whether team member or client, find their superpower. A C-suite executive (CEO/GM/CM) with deep food experience, I build businesses that make an impact. I bring P&L perspective and knowledge of blue-chip CPG fundamentals (Nestle and Kellogg’s) with experience in start-up/growth businesses that change the way we think about food. I am a champion of regenerative agriculture and food systems, supporting food businesses that are kind to people, animals, and planet. A creator and business builder, I turn big ideas into bigger realities. I'm a creator, a builder, and a believer in the power of business to impact our world for good.
