I enjoyed a 6-year career running a creative agency based in India. Now, I am pivoting my career from an agency owner to a SaaS founder. 

I am currently focused on building Supademo - a cool tool that helps software product teams create interactive product demos in minutes.

I enjoy the constant learning, tech exploration, and meeting new people in startup life. Additionally, I have a passion for art, design, and all things creative.

When I am not working, you will find me traveling with my wife, hiking in the mountains, taking long road trips, and playing video games.

This is my first time having a co-founder.

I ran my agency solo for 6 years. Made all the decisions, handled everything myself. When something broke, I fixed it.

Starting Supademo, I knew I needed help.

Building a product is different from running an agency. In services, you hire people per project. In products, you need someone who can think long-term and handle multiple areas.

I posted on YC's co-founder matching platform and spoke to 10-12 people.

Most conversations felt forced. Different visions, different work styles.

Then I met Joseph Lee.

We did a one-month sprint together before committing to anything. No promises, just work and see if we clicked.

In those four weeks, I saw:

✅ We both understood marketing, tech, product, and design
✅ We both were generalists, not specialists
✅ We both kept the same energy for glamorous and unglamorous work
✅ We both had high design standards

Joe had faced the same problem I was solving. He struggled to showcase product workflows at his previous company. I'd been helping companies with this for years through videos.

Same problem space, complementary experience.

Having a co-founder means I don't have to be the person who knows everything anymore. When I'm stuck on growth, Joe handles it. When he needs product input, I jump in.

It's like having someone who speaks your language in every conversation that matters.

Honestly, it’s great.

The solo founder path taught me a lot, but some problems are too big to solve alone.

Success isn't one big viral moment.

When people ask how we got to $1M+ ARR, there's no single story I can tell them.

Instead, it was 1000 small things:
→ Answering a support ticket at 11:30 PM because the customer was in a different time zone 
→ Adding a tooltip that made onboarding feel just a bit smoother 
→ Building a feature only 2 people asked for, but it unblocked their upgrade 
→ Spending 30 minutes helping a team member debug an issue 
→ Fixing something that 100 users won't notice, but 2 two power users depend on daily

Most days as a founder, you don't ship the fancy stuff you want to work on.

You do the work no one else wants to do.

I keep the same energy whether I'm building a cool new AI feature or retrieving someone's lost demos from backups at midnight.

It’s the daily consistency that matters.

Every small action compounds. The customer you help today might upgrade in 6 months. The tiny feature you build might unlock a use case you never considered.

People want to hear about the big breakthrough moment.

There usually isn't one.

It's just showing up every day and doing whatever needs to be done.

I was equally happy selling $99/year as I was selling $5,000 projects.

That sounds backwards, but let me explain.

In my old agency, I'd invoice $5,000-$10,000 for product demo videos. Good money, but every month I had to find new clients.

Stop working = stop earning.

When I launched Supademo, my first 10 customers paid $99 per year. Sounds cheesy, but I'll never forget that day.

I felt the same excitement as closing those big agency deals.

Here's why:

🔄 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: One-time payment, constant hustle for new clients
🔄 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸: Recurring revenue, customers keep using it

The agency taught me that B2B companies struggle to showcase their products. I'd spend 4-6 weeks making a video, then they'd need updates when their product evolved. It was a constant cycle of recreating content every time something changed.

With Supademo, they can update their demos themselves.

Same problem solved. Better solution.

Some of first $99 customers are still with us. Some have upgraded to hundreds per month. The compound effect is real.

I knew those first 10 $99 sales were just the start. 

In services, you're trading time for money. With products, you're building something that works while you sleep. That recurring revenue means customers keep finding value month after month, and you're not scrambling for new clients every 30 days.

That's why I was equally happy.

Different business model. Same satisfaction of helping companies showcase their products better.

B2B has a lot more power than people realize.

It might be just plain easier...

When I was exploring what to build next after my first company, I was trying to decide what to build, and I was interviewing potential co-founders to see how our philosophies aligned. 

My first co-founder candidate wanted to go B2C. After talking it through with him, I ended up pushing hard for B2B.

Here's why B2B made more sense to me (then, and now):

📱 B2C path:

→ Need a huge audience or huge ad spend
→ Require millions of downloads for meaningful revenue
→ Fight for $3-10 monthly subscriptions
→ Compete with free alternatives everywhere

🏢 B2B path:

→ Start with one company that has the problem
→ Find 1,000-10,000 similar companies
→ Solve a real business pain point
→ Prove value easily
→ Charge a lot for your value

The math is completely different.

In B2C, you're chasing massive scale to make small amounts per user. In B2B, you can build a solid business serving a smaller number of customers who actually value what you're building.

Plus, B2B customers tell you exactly what's wrong. They'll jump on calls, explain their problems, and even pay you to solve them better.

I'd been serving B2B SaaS companies for six years with my agency. I knew these customers. I understood their problems.

When that first company said "𝗪𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀," I realized the power of B2B.

That same principle guided building Supademo. 

Companies need to showcase their products effectively. It's a real business problem that costs them deals and slows down onboarding.

We're not chasing viral consumer adoption. We're solving a specific problem for businesses that already understand the value.

Founders need to be dangerous at everything.

Not experts. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵.

When Joe and I started working together, we realized we had something valuable. We could both understand each other across every topic that came up.

Marketing strategy? We both got it.
Tech decisions? Both had opinions.
Product design? Same mindset.
Customer problems? Could discuss solutions.

We're not specialists in any of these areas. But we can handle all of them at a startup level.

This matters more than I initially thought.

When you're building from zero, you can't afford to hire specialists for everything. You need two people who can cover the basics across:

👉 Product development
👉 Customer conversations
👉 Marketing channels
👉 Technical decisions
👉 Design choices
👉 Initial hiring

I’ve built 2 companies now. 

I really do think 2x generalist founders is the most efficient path to $1m. 

After $1M, most say you need specialists to keep growing, but I’m not so sure. With how good AI is now, even generalists can go a lot further without hiring early.

But in early days: 

Being dangerous at everything keeps you moving fast.

Founders get the worst jobs in the company.

I was just thinking about this while manually reactivating a failed Stripe subscription because the customer had an unexpected payment failure.

Here's what a founder's job actually looks like:

→ Fix what's broken
→ Solve urgent problems
→ Care about the details
→ Work when work is required

For me, recently, it’s been:

→ Building a feature we weren’t planning for over the weekend just because one enterprise customer insisted

→ Going through AWS billing docs at 1am to figure out why a random service costs $429

→ Late night support queries which can’t wait until morning

→ Debating for an hour whether the ghost button should have padding

Those are not in some job description somewhere. 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Founders just solve whatever problem needs solving.

Sometimes that means we get the “worst” jobs.

But that’s how it should be.

The other day, someone asked me how it felt to be doing the “worst” jobs, and I realized something kind of funny: 

It all 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲.

I keep the same energy whether I'm building a new feature or digging through server logs at midnight. Same focus, same care. It might not even be on purpose. 

But it’s probably our biggest advantage as founders: solving ANY problem that needs solving.
