In 2019, I became a member of the Global Creative Economy Council at the Policy and Evidence Center (PEC), convened by The British Council. The Council share international creative economy policy intelligence and research opportunities and acts as critical friends in reviewing and providing an international perspective on the PEC’s activities.

A new mission at Charles University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe. I was trusted by the Centre for Transfer of Knowledge and Technology to lead the Hyb4City strategic project in the Hybernska Campus. For the next few years, with a great team of people, we will dedicate ourselves to developing the third role of the university, the innovation ecosystem, the socially relevant transfer of knowledge and technology. Prague and Charles University have been melting pot for science, art, education and innovation for centuries and the 21st century will be no exception.

As far as my collaboration with the Technological Agency of the Czech Republic is concerned, this was probably the greatest opportunity for articulating my professional direction. I have been given enormous confidence here in setting up a system to support the social sciences, humanities and arts disciplines in applied research and innovation. Since then, it has become abundantly clear to me - and I will probably follow this to the end of my career paths - that without the innovative potential of ASSH disciplines, the societal and technological challenges we currently face cannot be met.

I was a member of a research team dedicated to mapping and developing creative and cultural industries and creative cities. It was a great opportunity for me to do research work on CCI as well as to get a detailed knowledge of Czech cultural and creative industries.

Museum of Musical Instruments in Leipzig

Knowing the work environment of such an important museum as the Museum of Musical Instruments in Leipzig was another great experience that I greatly appreciate. Marketing, PR, international relations, music education, excursions, daily contact with musical instrument restorers etc .. helped me to learn about the day-to-day work of the museum. I`ve met a number of great professionals, headed by the then museum director Mrs. Eszter Fontana.

Here I began to enrich my world of art and culture with a world of research and innovation. Working in the innovative transfer systems section, with great colleagues from all over the world led by Steffen Preissler, I first encountered expressions such as academic and application spheres and their apparently never-ending endeavour to bring them closer to each other. Here I also heard about the creative economy for the first time, so I didn't have to make a thick line behind my former life as I originally thought.
