Growing up, my father silently struggled with mental illness. During my high school years, unable to bear the burden of his illness any longer, he died by suicide. In the wake of his passing, our community rallied around my family - we received a tremendous amount of tangible support that altered the trajectory of our lives. This experience shaped my perspective of mental health and sparked a passion to help others receive the support they need and deserve, just as my family and I did. I try to live this value everyday in my professional life through sharing my story to reduce the stigma around mental health, helping others find the resources they need, and working on products that can alleviate one of the top culprits of mental struggles - financial stress. Today, I get to do that through my role on the Dasher Earnings team at DoorDash.
