Growing up, my father silently struggled with mental illness. During my high school years, unable to bear the burden of his illness any longer, he died by suicide. In the wake of his passing, our community rallied around my family - we received a tremendous amount of tangible support that altered the trajectory of our lives. This experience shaped my perspective of mental health and sparked a passion to help others receive the support they need and deserve, just as my family and I did. It also taught me the importance of having a supportive community to lean on during difficult times. The “right role” seemed out of reach for me. I couldn’t afford career coaching and found myself fighting the struggles of the job hunt alone. Then, I talked to others going through career changes and found unique ideas that helped me land interviews at BCG, DoorDash, & dozens of others and accepted an offer from DoorDash.
