I'm a Certified Financial Planner® and the co-founder of Breakwater Financial Planning, a boutique financial planning firm based in Melbourne. I grew up in Perth in a large and close family (I’m the third of six children), my sisters have built careers as teachers and/or counsellors. Having a strong desire to help better people’s lives I undertook a Bachelor of Social Science. After completing my Bachelor degree in 2001 I moved to Melbourne. Here, I started my career in the Financial Services Industry working in a boutique accounting firm and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Accounting. In 2005 I shifted to a professional Financial Planning practice where I experienced first-hand the positive impact that quality financial planning can make to peoples’ lives. During this period I completed financial planning qualifications including Diploma in Financial Planning and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (I also started a family). In 2017 I was promoted to Financial Adviser and undertook the Certified Financial Planning program. As a Financial Adviser I get great satisfaction from helping people put a plan in place, empowering them to do the things they want in life and to be able to look forward to a secure financial future.
