Currently, I work as a Home Health Personal Care Attendant. I also work for the Transportation Department at the University of North Texas (UNT) as an Eride Transportation Driver and Lyft Concierge. While working, I've completed my bachelor of applied arts and sciences (BAAS) degree at UNT and have started on my graduate degree in journalism. I feel encouraged when I can grow through a wide variety experiences. From my experience in previous roles and through college projects, I've learned how to better collaborate with team members to utilize their input for stronger outcomes. This has provided me the ability to better serve and work in a team environment while also tackling solo projects more efficiently by utilizing advice. While completing my bachelor's degree and working, I adjusted my time-management and organization skills and gained better results for achieving deadlines. From working in a variety of career fields, I have gained a better understanding and appreciation for diversity. These many positions have taught me to effectively communicate, adapt, and provide guests, patrons, patients and customers with a better experience. In hospitality, I was awarded two pins for Outstanding Guest Service. I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and am proud of that. The military doesn't just prepare soldiers for certain situations; service is a mindset that is about serving others in whatever capacity we hold: people service.
