Want to know something that’s true when it comes to others, but not true when it comes to yourself?

When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

It’s one of the most worthwhile rules I’ve ever lived by.

Because, while we can hope to make an impact and even pray that others will change, we don’t control that.

But here’s the part we often forget:

You don’t have to believe everything your own brain tells you about who you are.

If the story running on repeat doesn’t serve you, you can rewrite it.

Because you do control that.

The words you use and the story you choose shape what becomes true next.

So yes—believe people when they show you who they are.

And don’t forget, you get to decide who you become.

It was my first performance review at a new company.

I did what we’re all taught to do:
- I documented my accomplishments
- Outlined areas for growth
- And proudly shared the progress I’d made.

When I handed it in, my boss looked at me and said:
“Wow. Why did you write your review this way?”

I blinked. “In what way?”

“You sound like you’re trying to prove yourself.”

Um… yes?
(Confused was an understatement.)

The gaslighting singed my eyebrows.
And at the time, I didn’t recognize it for what it was—a red flag.

The truth is: nobody teaches us how to celebrate our wins.

So when someone shares their progress out loud, it can make others uncomfortable.

What she saw as boastful was actually confidence—
and it made me question if I’d done something wrong.

But here’s what I’ve learned since:
If not on a performance review… where should you share your wins?!

You might shy away from celebrating because you’ve had a similar experience, 
or you’re telling yourself a story that it’s boastful or braggadocious.

Celebrating your own wins only feels awkward because you haven’t practiced it.
It’s like trying to write with your non-dominant hand—it feels weird at first.

Here’s how to do it:
1. Write down a recent win—full sentence, punctuation and all.
2. Read it out loud.
3. Notice what you feel. Where in your body do you feel it? How intense, 1–10? Write that down.
4. Ask yourself: What does this win mean about me?
5. Then finish this sentence: The kind of person who _________ is someone who _________.

Your confidence grows when you let your wins land.

I’m cringing just thinking about this…
Because I feel like I’ve led people astray.

And it’s not cool.

I used to write these neat little posts and newsletters.
With tidy acronyms that promised cheat codes.
And four-step processes that guaranteed shortcuts.

Because I was taught that’s what hooks people.
That’s how you get attention in a three-second-scroll world.

So even when it felt forced, I did it anyway—
to prove my expertise, to sound “credible,” to fit the mold.

But here’s the thing…

What I really did was make myself sound like everyone else.
And worse, I made it sound easy.

I made it sound like regulating your nervous system enough to make great decisions,
learning to trust yourself again,
leveraging tools to reframe the stories you tell yourself,
unraveling years of conditioning and self-protection patterns that no longer serve you—
was somehow quick and clean.

It’s not.

What I thought was helpful actually drew an invisible line between you and me.

It made it seem like I had “figured it out.”
I haven’t.

Just because I’m a coach doesn’t mean I have it all together.
I don’t.

I change every day—
just like you do.

And with new information comes new challenges, new thoughts, and new ways of doing the work.

So please know this:
The tools, the frameworks, the breathwork—they’re simple.
Anyone who has worked with me knows this for a fact. 

But the real work?
The work on yourself?
That part is really damn hard.

And it’s worth every second.

So I will continue to show up, and I will keep going. 

Keep posting honestly and vulnerably.
Keep writing newsletters that an earlier version of me would have thought “not good enough”, but are exactly what I’m thinking and feeling right now.

Her biggest transformation this year wasn’t a promotion.
It was finally becoming the woman she kept putting off.

"This has been the most awakening year of my life."

Not the year she had her daughter.
Not the year she went through a divorce.
Not the year she met her forever partner.

The year she said yes to herself—
and committed to 1:1 coaching,
was the year everything shifted.

In twelve months, she…

- made peace with fractured relationships that once weighed her down

But those weren’t the most powerful changes.

The real transformation was internal.

- changed her perception of herself
- reconnected with what she truly valued as a woman
- could name her thoughts, understand her feelings, and choose her responses
- stopped labeling emotions as right or wrong and started listening to them
gave herself permission to choose long-term alignment over short-term relief

She built a trust within herself that is unshakeable.

Not because life got easier—
but because she now knows she can move through anything
and find herself on the other side.

She started the year quietly playing a supporting role.
She ends it in full main-character energy—
and everyone around her can feel it.

She’s walking away with a 65-page document…
part roadmap,
part diary,
part permission slip.

Her words.
Her growth.
Her proof.

Laptop on the hospital tray, legs numb, newborn on my chest. My wife gently telling me I was “absolutely unhinged,” and me laughing even though I wanted to cry.

That moment pretty much sums up this entire year: Doing everything I can to support my family…while the ground keeps shifting under me.

This isn’t a shiny LinkedIn update — it’s me being honest because I believe in putting my whole heart out there and trusting that good things will come.

Since February 2025 — when I was 18 weeks pregnant — I’ve been job searching. 
My daughter is now 4 months old.
And my 𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀.
With a 3.5-year-old and a 4-month-old, the thought of choosing between holiday gifts and making January rent is…a lot.

This season has been a blur of:
✨ Final rounds that didn’t go my way
✨ Rejections that all sound the same
✨ Hope → disappointment → try again

And the quiet fear so many parents carry: “𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀?”

I’m holding space for two paths right now:

1) A full-time role in operations — my preferred route, the stability my family needs
2) Consulting work — supporting real estate agents & small businesses, a path I can take but one with much more uncertainty

Today, I’m posting about Path #1.

So here’s the vulnerable truth:

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺.
We are resilient.
We problem-solve before problems are named.
We hold everything together even when we’re barely holding space for ourselves.
And we show up — even stitched together in a hospital bed — because our families depend on it.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆:

 • Fix messy, manual, or broken processes
 • Build or clean up CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce)
 • Automate workflows across tools (Slack, Monday, CRMs, etc.)
 • Create systems that calm chaos and scale sustainably
 • Step in as both a doer and a strategic thinker
 • Become the “give it to me, I’ll handle it” person your team needs
