Provides professional development to school-based administrators and teachers on ESE/EC/ESOL programming, best practices, and compliance.

-Design and develop engaging training program materials including project plans, outlines, presenter guides, participant materials and evaluations.
-Conduct regular meetings focusing on implementation of the professional learning model to ensure each ESE/EC/ESOL staff members’ professional growth.
-Work collaboratively with staff to upload and create relevant content to be used for asynchronous learning on the LMS.
-Work collaboratively with Professional Development team, and Operations Staff to determine training and development needs across all elements of school operations.
-Assist with new school activations and training by providing all needed training.
-Stay current on national, state, and local requirements, laws and rules relating to ESE/EC/ESOL K-12 education and school operations
-Provides professional development aligned to the ALS instructional Model.
-Build, maintain and effectively communicate an integrated ESE/ESOL compliance framework that captures all regulatory requirements to which ALS/ALS schools are subject

Special Populations PD Specialist

Orange County Public Schools

Behavior Specialist supporting an Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities self-contained cluster site classroom.

Responsibilities Include:
-Collect, review, and analyze data to support Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) goals, and to determine needs and progress of students in the Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) cluster site self-contained classroom setting. 
-Report progress and analyze student data to determine and implement effective interventions, supports, and strategies to support student growth and progress based on individual needs.
-Provide teachers with interventions, tools for accomodations, suggestions as to how to support students, and feedback with regards to supporting students in the EBD cluster site program.
-Teach social skills and other academic interventions to students from grades Kindergarten through fifth grade with various disabilities including Autism, Other Health Impairments, Learning Disabilities, and/or Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) in an EBD cluster site self-contained classroom. 
- Participate in meetings to determine a student's eligibility or continued eligibility for the Exceptional Student Education program, determine eligibility for the EBD cluster site self-contained classroom, and/or explain what the EBD program is to parents.
-Facilitate meetings with team members and district personnel to report on team/student progress or needs, meetings with school-based team to determine plans for the classroom and students to best support the needs of the class, meetings with parents to determine what supports the school can offer for home, and/or meetings with teachers to consult about students who are working outside of the self-contained classroom.
-Collaborate with EBD teachers and other team members to write Individual Education Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans based on data collected through academic and behavioral forms of data collection.

Behavior Specialist

Self-contained teacher K-5 for students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities.

Responsibilities Include:
-Collect, review, and analyze data to support Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) goals in the Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) cluster site self-contained classroom setting. 
-Report progress to stakeholders via daily point sheets, meetings, and IEP progress reports based on multiple forms of data collected. 
-Communicate frequently and effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other staff members on campus. 
-Teach grade level English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and other academic interventions to students from grades Kindergarten through fifth grade with various disabilities including Autism, Other Health Impairments, Learning Disabilities, and/or Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) in an EBD cluster site self-contained classroom. 
- Participate in meetings to determine a student's eligibility or continued eligibility for the Exceptional Student Education program, and/or determine eligibility for the EBD cluster site self-contained classroom.
-Collaborate with team teacher in EBD, and other team members, to write Individual Education Plans based on data collected through academic and behavioral forms of data collection.
- Collaborate with administration/teachers/parents to ensure a student's success and happiness through the support of the classroom, therapy, and any services necessary.

Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities Teacher

Exceptional Student Education (special education) pullout teacher for students with varying disabilities from Kindergarten through fifth grade. 

Responsibilities Include:
-Assist teachers and administration with interventions and strategies to support student needs academically and behaviorally
-Participate in meetings to determine a student's eligibility to participate in an Exceptional Student Education program. 
- Participate in meetings to assist teachers with interventions for a struggling student ("child chats"​)
-Teach professional developments to teachers on behavior management, support, and academic/behavioral interventions or accommodations.
- Teach students from grades Kindergarten through fifth grade, with various disabilities, in the areas of reading, math, writing, communication, social skills, and independent functioning skills.
- Collect data to support their Individual Education Plan goals or intervention data and make data informed decisions about needs of students.
- Reporte data regularly on a student's growth as related to their Individual Education Plan goals via progress reports and other reports sent to parents.
- Write Individual Education Plans based on data collected and information given through collaboration with teachers and staff. 
- Collaborate with administration/teachers/parents to provide supports such as therapy, additional interventions, and other supports outside of school to ensure a student's success and happiness.

Kid's Nite Out

Babysitter, Parental Assistant, Park Tour Guide/Helper in the Orlando Area. Contracted through the Walt Disney company.

Former OCPS teacher and behavior specialist where I worked 11 years in Special Education. My experience ranges from learning disabilities, to autism, to behavior disabilities. I spent seven years teaching in a self-contained behavioral classroom (EBD). I am passionate about supporting students, especially those with behavioral needs, and those in underserved areas. I am currently working as a PD specialist for Special Populations for an organization.
