I'm a seasoned communications & social media manager with more than 15 years’ experience as a published writer and 8+ years’ experience in content creation and strategic communications. I love using data to tell stories that galvanize employees and consumers around a company's mission, vision, culture and values in a meaningful way. What's my story, you ask? An immigrant, I grew up surrounded by people with a deep commitment to social justice and curiosity about the world around them. It turned me into a dedicated news junkie with a passion for (you guessed it!) telling good stories. If you look closely, you'll see the tie that binds my entire career: social science, a commitment to belonging and elevating underrepresented voices, and real, human storytelling. As an experienced newswriter, communications strategist, and executive advisor, I've moved the needle and increased employee and social media engagement for companies of all shapes and sizes, from midsize businesses to Big Tech companies like Google and Meta. I thrive in fast-paced, highly collaborative, and cross-functional environments. While I have an armful of skills, I'm also a life-long learner, always looking for new ways to frame things. Aside from Big Tech, I've managed successful internal & external communications campaigns for financial services, market research, health & fitness, sports, and entertainment companies. My bachelor's degree is in journalism, and I have a master's degree in sociology with an emphasis on social stratification and portrayals of Blackness in the media.
