I work for Connections Consulting Partners as a Recruiting Partner, strengthening my connections with clients to help with their hiring needs and building connections with candidates to help them with their career moves. I mainly recruit for tech and sales roles. What got me into recruiting industry? Someone once told me, 'it's easy to be misunderstood by someone,' and I don't want to be that person. That's why I study psychology: I can understand people and become better at helping them in any way possible. When I got into recruiting, the things I learned in psychology did come in handy. Because getting to the heart of what someone wants can be tricky, but I'd say that's my specialty. I mean, sometimes it seems like you can't get anyone to talk about what really matters – especially when it comes to hiring the right person for the job or figuring out your next career move. But being accurate can literally mean attaining a perfect match between a great candidate and an enticing opportunity.
