I’ve always been drawn to work that connects people, purpose, and sustainability. Whether leading sustainability for a grocery cooperative, advising a venture-backed startup, or working with community organizations, I’ve found that the most effective sustainability solutions are the ones that bring people together. Real change happens when businesses, employees, and communities see sustainability not as a challenge, but as an opportunity. In addition to my work in sustainability consulting and contract roles, I recently launched Forward Outdoor with my wife, Elizabeth. FO is a business that blends my passion for the outdoors with wellness, food, and the arts. It’s a project rooted in the same values that have guided my career—fostering connections, enhancing well-being, and encouraging more sustainable ways of engaging with the world around us. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find me kayaking, hiking, camping, or mountain biking—I love exploring the outdoors in any way I can. My wife and I have an amazing little girl, Maya, who keeps us on our toes and reminds us to see the world with fresh eyes. Traveling and experiencing new cultures has always been a passion of mine, and speaking Spanish has given me the chance to connect with people in a more meaningful way.
