I successfully develop, manage, and maintain the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes and efforts for the information systems within my organization. I am accountable for the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and serve as the principal advisor on all matters related to the security of systems under my purview. I have a working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, and NIST SP 800-40 security publications, which I use to ensure systems compliance with FISMA regulations.

In my role, I create and maintain all security documentation, including the System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), Configuration Management Plan, Contingency Plan, annual assessment, and incident reports.  In addition, I ensure configuration management policies and procedures are followed and assess changes to a system that could affect authorization.

I also perform identity and access management administration using Microsoft Active Directory, network administration, and information systems hardening in a Microsoft Windows environment. Additionally, I conduct vulnerability scans of systems using Tenable Nessus software and assess vulnerabilities to determine if additional safeguards are needed.  I also conduct periodic assessments of authorized systems and ensure corrective actions are taken for all identified findings and vulnerabilities. I monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly. 

Furthermore, as an ISSM I supervise the Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) under my purview to ensure they follow established system policies and procedures and receive the necessary technical security training to carry out their duties.

Senior Information System Security Manager 

Responsibilities included organizing staff training, implementing and leading BIM efforts across multiple disciplines and office locations for a multi-million-dollar GSA contract. Assist Senior Project Managers to identify project resource requirements and submit requests for resources to Senior Corporate Management.  Utilized shared network drives, Microsoft SharePoint, and FTP sites to facilitate document collaboration and coordination between remote office locations.  Provided technical support for CAD/BIM users in the creation of 3D models. Installed design software and resolved software licensing server issues. Additional responsibilities included all task related to production and distribution of construction document drawings primarily using Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit and Bentley Microstation software.
