Aloha (hello), my name is Kyla :) I have over a decade of experience working in customer service and recently made a career change to Information Technology, network engineering and security to be exact. I enjoy problem-solving, finding solutions to various challenges, and deep-dive analysis. I enjoy learning new things and collaborating with others, more sets of eyes are better than one! I currently have CompTIA's Security+ certification and have hands-on experience working with various cybersecurity tools used in a SOC environment. I monitor various malicious alerts, provide endpoint security, and phishing analysis, perform an in-depth analysis using OSINT tools and resources, and document all findings using incident reporting systems. My strengths are creative problem-solving, training others, customer service, multi-tasking, clear communication, collaboration, good rapport, and empathy. I also enjoy outdoor activities, such as stand-up paddling, hiking, chasing waterfalls, traveling, and listening to podcasts (Darknet Diaries and Distractible are my favorites!)
