I served as the 2017-2018 President of the MJ-school Ambassadors program. 

The MJ-school Ambassadors program was created in 2012 as a student initiative to help future, current and former media and journalism students best navigate and succeed through the UNC School of Media and Journalism.

• Led biweekly meetings and served as the contact person for the 30 member organization.
• Worked closely with administration to organize various events for current and prospective Media and Journalism students, including prospective student tours, internship fairs, and new student orientations.
• Oversaw a peer-to-peer advising program for all 800 MJ-school students.
• Sat in on monthly MJAA Board meetings to offer board members a student perspective.

I served as the 2017-2018 President of the Heelraisers Student Giving Council.

The Heelraisers Student Giving Council is a a University recognized student organization that raises awareness about the impact of private giving at Carolina and promotes annual giving efforts to students. Council members get a firsthand look at development at Carolina and work actively on marketing campaigns, campus events and other activities.

In this role, I also served as an intern in the University Development Office, assisting with Young Alumni direct marketing, student giving campaigns and various office tasks. 

• Worked with the UNC Development Office to educate the student body about the importance of private giving through events and publicity efforts
• Raised over $57,000 in student donations during the 2016-17 fiscal year
• Won awards for Outstanding Student Advancement Program and Outstanding Organization at the 2018 CASE ASAP District 3 Conference as well as the National Network Award for Outstanding Organization at the 2018 National CASE ASAP Conference

• Produced various public relations materials, including press releases, media advisories and briefing books.
• Assisted in the production of various client marketing materials, including infographics, one-pagers and brochures.
• Built and managed media lists utilizing CisionPoint.
• Conducted daily media monitoring for clients and worked with analytics specialists to create a PR scorecard and offer suggestions for improved media coverage.

Since 1974, RMHC has created programs that strengthen families during difficult times. RMHC provides vital resources and compassionate care to children and their families being served by leading hospitals worldwide. Core RMHC programs — Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, and Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles — provide access to health care and enable family-centered care. RMHC has helped lessen the burden for more than 5.5 million families in 2016. 

• Drafted various communications materials, including press releases, blog posts and social media content.
• Conducted a Communications Audit and PR plan to offer suggestions for improved communication efforts.
• Designed a 33” x 79” banner to be utilized at volunteer events.

• Gathered daily press clips to brief Senator Burr and his staff.
