Born and raised in the SF Bay Area, I've always worked hard, back to when I needed a worker's permit to blend smoothies at the mall. Even before that, I was going door-to-door asking to rake leaves off neighbors' lawns for a few bucks to purchase the new guitar or skateboard I wanted. I worked my way through college, which delayed my degree, but enabled me to start learning the business world early on. I get the strong work ethic from my Mother who, for the most part, raised me by herself without any help from a man. I try to stay humble. I try to stay hungry. In high school, I remember creating and coordinating a garage tour for local bands. I built the website for it and everything, ha. I geek out on project management, it's just how my brain is wired. I enjoy being creative. I've self-published two poetry books. I've dabbled in abstract painting and photography. I respect the hell out of anyone who has the guts to be vulnerable and express themselves. I'm a collaborator. I enjoy working with all walks of life - learning about humans, their personalities, and all of their interesting perspectives of the business world and beyond. I love learning, as well as sharing my knowledge. Anyone can grow with a little patience and love. As much as I'm embedded in automation and technology, I try hard to work efficiently without being robotic. It's important to me. So is open and honest communication. No bullshit. Insert my love for nature here: hiking, gardening, taking my pup on a walk. My grandfather once told me you won't have any worries after a three mile stroll outside. That's more important than ever right now. I'm a huge advocate for remote work, especially how it allows Mother Earth to heal, and provides a better quality of life for humans. I was interviewed by a CMO who told me it's impossible to manage workers who aren't sitting in a cubicle. This told me he's stubborn and doesn't trust his employees. We have to treat people like adults. Don't tell anyone, but I may be addicted to HGTV. I love to thrift, specifically for mid-century modern furniture, and have experimented with refurbishing. It's a good escape from the desk and allows me to work with my hands - the tools we started with to hunt and gather for our survival. Lastly, I'll leave you with a quote from Steve Jobs: "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle."
