My mantra: I have walked the path of striving for success, climbing the corporate ladder and achieving financial stability, only to realise that despite my accomplishments, something was still missing. I understand the feeling of emptiness that comes with the constant pursuit of achievement, and the pressure to live up to others' expectations. Through my own journey of self-discovery and personal growth, I have come to understand the importance of finding balance and aligning with one's true values and purpose. In the pursuit of success, we find our why. My background: I was born in Alice Springs and have a passion to connect with our beautiful country. Community is important to me, I engage in doing what I can to uplift and raise our community through volunteering and sponsorships. Through my business I hosted a mud run for the Alice Springs community to put on a fun event and raise $8000 for the Alice Springs Mens shed. Bit about my work experience: Kylie brings 25+ years of business and finance management experience-having managed small to medium business finances and administration practices for business in Alice Springs. Kylie has over ten years' experience lecturing business & finance courses through Charles Darwin University. Kylie contracted for several years to Indigenous Business Australia to support and facilitate workshops for start-up business, bringing her wealth of knowledge of business practices to support and encourage new entrepreneurs. Currently as Managing Director of SWEL - Specialised Welding and Engineering, SWEL is a successful award-winning business having been a finalist and winner in many business awards including Telstra Business awards. Kylie has built all internal practices for SWEL, including digitisation of finance systems and development of the Integrated Management System, which is triple-accredited for Quality, Safety, and Environment. Kylie is also responsible for the contract management of all strategic contracts. Kylie was presented with Young Australian of the Year for her dedication and commitment towards the gymnastic sport in the NT.
