In my dual capacity at a privately held company, I serve as both the Managing Director and Head of Product. 
Drawing from extensive experience in operational and technical aspects of food and quick commerce delivery, I shape our product strategy and oversee the development of our technology suite, including the Warehouse Web app, Customer iOS & Android apps, Picker Android app, and Driver mobile apps.

As Managing Director, I bear ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction and operational oversight of the company. This role involves steering the company towards achieving its long-term vision, leading high-level decision-making processes, and ensuring the alignment of all departments with our business objectives. I spearhead the development and execution of our Go-to-Market strategy, driving the consistent expansion of our services and operations across Europe.

After playing a significant role in the Live Operations scale-up at Just Eat Takeaway, I joined Gorillas with the purpose of initiating and implementing a similar department called the Live Tower of Operations.

We were able to successfully launch this department and expand it across 40+ dark stores in the BeNeLux region within a few weeks together with a newly formed team of 15+ members.

Following the completion of the project, I continued to provide support for critical business needs, focusing primarily on product operations, commercial operations, store expansion, and rider operations.

After a few months, our department expanded to nearly 250 members. During this time, I had direct involvement and responsibility for supervising operations in the UK, France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Due to the UK market's rapid growth (exceeding 1000%), I was given sole ownership of that market with almost 100 members working for that market alone.

Eventually, I was promoted to Senior Global Live Operations SV. In this role, I focused on coaching and promoting other talented individuals to the position I previously held.

To this day, I take pride in the company's culture and the team's spirit.

After closing down my own cloud kitchen company, I developed a strong interest in learning more about the continuously growing food delivery market. This time, however, I wanted to be on the other side of the table.

That's why I decided to join [Takeaway.com](http://takeaway.com/), which had recently announced its acquisition of Just Eat. With this merger, the combined group became the largest food delivery company in Europe and one of the largest globally.

In my role as the first Global Live Operations SV for the company's logistics arm, "SCOOBER," I was tasked with hiring and supervising a new team.

Our mission was twofold:

1. Centralise all live operations departments located in different countries back at the headquarters.
2. Expand live operations in the newly acquired Just Eat markets.

STREATVIBES (Cloud Kitchens)

Having been so passionate about restaurants and technology I always looked for the next frontier where both industries would collide and give birth to new and ground-breaking ideas.
Seek and you shall find; And that I did, until I came across the very first article about the so called ghost kitchens. That was the first time I had an AHA moment... I resigned the day after.

Our mission was to create one of the first cloud kitchens in Europe. The business model was simple; create from scratch 4-6 food brands to validate the concept and then open the doors to other entrepreneurs who needed support in order to develop their own brand under our umbrella. With limited funds we were able to create our first location (MVP) and 2 delivery-only brands.

4 months in, what started as a cofounding project soon became a Solo-founder journey but that was not my biggest problem. Now a team of 10 (Baristas/chefs, customer call operators, drivers) we found ourselves squeezed in a tiny location as our sales were far more than what we have anticipated. 
Using our positive cashflow and an additional angel injection we moved our operations in a much bigger location right in the city centre and our team size grew to 18 members now fulfilling almost 500 orders a day. And then, the pandemic happened...

With our primary target audience, the working professionals now working remotely and us located right in the heart of the corporate city centre our sales plummeted. 
Having never anticipated such a market shift I went looking for investments or cash injections to survive the first period of the pandemic as I knew that sooner or later delivery sales would resume and increase 10x. 
Long story short, I failed to find an investment and I used our final cash reserves to compensate my team as I had to let them go during one of the most uncertain period of their life.
And cloud kitchens is now the hottest upcoming industry!

After years in the restaurant industry I was eager to explore different segments and food categories.
With that in mind I took over a new role as the General Manager of a new and upcoming company  “Wood N' Fire Artisan Bakeries”.
Again building the business from the ground up with most of my day being spend on expanding, guiding and training the team, building commercial partnerships, marketing & branding and cost control.
During that time we scaled up the team from 3 to 15 members, we increased sales by 500% while decreasing our prime cost from 75% to 60%.

After returning to Cyprus I had the privilege to be part of the team that brought Jamie Oliver's flagship restaurant ''Jamie's Italian'' in the country.
I helped build the business from the ground up while managing the operations and a team of 50 extraordinary people. In addition I was responsible for the local execution of the global training.

There I was fortunate enough, to work for Coco's Outback Restaurant and experience first hand how a 20-year old profitable 500+ seat establishment functions. (Restaurant university more or less)

After successfully completing the selection process, I was among the few youngsters (<200) from the class of 2010 to enter the national special forces for a 2-year service period.
During that rigorous 2-year period my mental and physical abilities developed beyond anything I would have ever thought possible.
