Business Transformation Department of HNB PLC engages in project management and process improvement of the bank. The department is entrusted with project 'Everest' that chiefly focuses on bank digitalization, while carrying out business process reengineering projects within the organisation as well.

Assigned as a trainee to the team overseeing technology and digital streams with the following duties and responsibilities.

▪︎Working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on business transformation projects.
▪︎Track and monitor milestones achievement of relevant work streams as project plan and update respective project managers on a weekly basis.
▪︎Actively study and capture process data (e.g. Time and motion studies) for process mapping and data analysis requirement of projects.
▪︎Analyse feedback from project outcomes and put together dashboards to present to corporate/senior management.
▪︎Conduct industry benchmarking and provide necessary reports and recommendations.
▪︎Preparation of project status updates and any other presentations as instructed by the respective project managers.
▪︎Preparation of standard operating procedures.

Segregated and revamped the bank's IT procurement policy and process to streamline the complete operation and minimize its lead time starting from business requirements stage to the issue of purchase order.

Introduced a standard operating procedure (SOP) to feed in more information to the bank's Chat bot in order to increase the front end user experience.

Analysed the bank's accounts opening process and proposed recommendations to eliminate waste and reduce the turnaround time.

Analysed the post project feedback of the upgrade of high tech landlines from the entire organisation network and escalated necessary outcomes to the Information Technology department for resolution.
Acted as the single point of contact (SPOC) from transformative PMO for projects under technology stream of project 'Everest'.

Trainee - Business Transformation

In addition to the oversight of intern recruitments, offered assistance in a period of aggressive recruitments of Trainee Bank Associates. Majority of the contribution was towards the interviewing, examination, induction and documentation phases.

Involvement towards the process of recruitments of 150+ selected candidates for the position of Trainee Bank Associate whilst meeting the SLA.
Facilitated HR staff meeting for over 60 employees.

Human Resources Associate

Human Resources Department of HNB PLC oversees 4000+ staff members assigned to departments at Head Office and 250 branches located across Sri Lanka.

Assigned as an intern directly reporting to Head of HR Management to oversee overall recruitment, assignment and resignation for internship programmes with the following duties and responsibilities.

▪︎Listing lapsed and additional intern requirements of all branches and departments
▪︎Shortlist of eligible candidates for internship from the online database according to the required amount and districts
▪︎Arrangements of dates, panellists and documents for intern interviews and inductions
▪︎Contacting shortlisted candidates for interviews
▪︎Examine the accuracy of provided information of candidates before commencement of interview
▪︎Analysis of selected and rejected candidates
▪︎Preparation of letters and documents for appointment of identified candidates
▪︎Documentation of the internship programme for selected candidates
▪︎Key operator of the organisation 'careers' page and email

Recruited 500+ candidates for the 06 months internship programme assigning to Head Office departments and 250 branches across Sri Lanka.
