Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my profile. Below, you'll find a bit about me. I went through a tough time in my career, trying to decide between marketing and data science. Even though I was doing well in my studies, I felt unfulfilled. It was a period in which I was facing a lot of mental breakdowns and sleepless, overthinking nights, in addition to a few economic challenges at home. During this time, I worked as a junior growth marketer at an agency called We Are Team Rocket. One day, the senior team surprised me by inviting me on a retreat to a beautiful villa near the beaches of the south of Sri Lanka. At the retreat, the CEO shared his life story with us. Seeing his hard work and dedication made a significant impact on me and helped me see things differently. Before we left, he gave each of us a letter. Mine had this valuable advice. (This is a shortened version) 1. Hold yourself accountable and take ownership. 2. Surround yourself with people who inspire you and speak up for progress. 3. Imagine yourself with a purpose and stick to it until it becomes your obsession. That experience changed my mindset completely. I decided to pursue a career in marketing with a focus on business goals. Since then, I've been studying and challenging myself to keep growing. Having clarity and getting advice from someone who achieved what I wanted was all I needed. I've made great friends who have helped me become a better person. Now, my goal is to master the sales process and share what I learn with others!
