European Arabidopsis Stock Centre

Co-ordinating a team of workers to fulfill over 100 customer orders weekly , totalling 900-1200 samples of transgenic (essentially GM) arabidopsis seeds to universities and research institutions worldwide.

- Ensuring stocks were correctly and efficiently located from an archive of over 1 million seed samples , checking in long term frozen storage if necessary.

- Working closely with Curators to ensure stocks which are low seed are correctly re-sown and grown correctly for replenishment back into archives. 

- Harvesting grown seeds carefully from arabidopsis plants to minimize chaff contamination as well as cross-contamination.
