My passions are; 1) Supporting those not so well off to have a safe and affordable home. 2) Supporting more black people to become board members, Non-Exec directors, Trustees and governors 3) Shoes (and tea!) I am President of the Chartered Institute of Housing in the UK. My mission in life is to help, in whatever way, the most needy to have homes to be comfortable in. I was homeless in my early twenties and I will always remember how happy I was when I was eventually given keys to my own council flat. I believe strongly in the role of "social housing"​ and that as a society, we have the resources to eliminate homelessness. My other mission is to see more black people on boards of orgranisations. #BlackLivesMatter in the board room too.
