My passions are; 1) Supporting those not so well off to have a safe and affordable home. 2) Supporting more black and brown people to become board members, Non-Exec directors, Trustees and governors 3) Shoes (and tea!) Last year I was President of the Chartered Institute of Housing in the UK. My mission in life is to help, in whatever way, the most needy to have homes to be comfortable in. I was homeless in my early twenties and I will always remember how happy I was when I was eventually given keys to my own council flat. I believe strongly in the role of "social housing"​ and that as a society, we have the resources to eliminate homelessness. My other mission is to see more ethnic diversity in UK boardrooms. Hence my business @BlackOnBoard. #BlackLivesMatter in the board room too.
