Cookies anyone? 🍪 I made LOADS of cookies over the holidays. Peanut butter with hershey kisses are my favorite. Thankfully those aren't banned.. AND.. Third-party cookies are no longer banned either. First, what are third-party cookies? 🍪 These are small tracking files that websites place on your browser to collect data for ad targeting. 🍪 Due to privacy concerns, Google planned to phase them out in Chrome. 🍪 Now that plan is on hold. Google announced in July last year that it would NOT phase out third-party cookies in Chrome.  (at least not yet) ---------------------------------------- What does this mean for marketers? -- Focus on your data stretgies, ESPECIALLY your 1st party data Almost 60% of CMOs have put a strong data strategy in place to capture consumer data. This allow for: ↳ Better personalization ↳ More accurate audience targeting ↳ Greater control over data privacy So.. are you doubling down on data? And more importantly, what is your favorite cookie? 😉

    Marketers obsess over personalization, but is it really working? 🤔 If your data isn’t accurate, you’re just personalizing the wrong message to the wrong person. Quality data > fancy segmentation Segmentation matters. Personalization may be King. But data quality is your Ace in the hole. 😉
