Welcome to the LVE Career Universe! Do work #onpurpose I founded Larnell Vickers Enterprises to help people land their dream job. Five years in, my team and I have transformed my coaching business into a multi-platform career universe that helps people do work, on purpose. We combine coaching, recruiting and placement to unlock careers with meaning and joy for hundreds of people each year. We’ve supported over 500 individuals and 25 companies, hosted several events with over 3000 attendees, and built a network of 25,000 people strong. We launched the national event Career Day for the Soul to help participants translate purpose into careers with companies from Google, Facebook, PUMA, Multiverse, IBM and UnboundEd to name a few. Going forward we’re taking this work across states, from Atlanta to Houston to DC and beyond. To get here, I had to find my own purpose first and run towards it with everything I had. When I took on my first recruitment role, it was to help people find meaningful work. Instead, I found myself on endless screening calls with no control over how far my candidates made it. That’s why I started career coaching: it gave me a way to help people find jobs that changed their lives for the better. I didn’t start with savings or a VC backer. I started with a purpose, and I ran towards it as hard as I could: I moved out of my apartment. I sold my furniture. I traded booze, parties and TV for discipline and consistency. I spent a year building my business on ten hours a day, seven days a week. My purpose kept me going against all odds, from a global pandemic to people who told me I’d never expand into a full-on enterprise. It powered my coaching hustle into the LVE Career-verse, which is on track to help 1 million people do work, on purpose by 2030.
