My name is Laura, and understanding people has become my life-long obsession. As an experienced Psychology Educator and Wellbeing Facilitator, I possess the experience and motivation to further enhance the mental health literacy. After completing my studies (Psychology, Psychophysiology and Education), I gained experience teaching at Glen Waverley Secondary College and Victoria Police. Within these roles, I designed innovative mental health programs to support students and colleagues in areas such as stress management, resilience and relationship building. Through regular consultation with both internal and external stakeholders, these programs have constantly evolved to meet the on-going strategic objectives of the school. Never one to shy away from a challenge, I routinely embrace diverse knowledge transfer opportunities. As an annual speaker at the CDES Psychology Conference, I have developed and delivered training workshops for adults focussing on topics including mental health and human behaviour. This desire to innovate has also led to original and exciting research. Undertaking Honours in Psychology at Monash University is expanding my skills in divergent thinking on topics such as mental health recovery and chronic illness. These studies would be an asset to any organisation as they have enabled me to remain up to date with the latest evidence based practices. I look forward to hearing from you.
