I parachuted in to recruiting. I was working with Investment Sales in NYC when this random agency recruiter reached out, and I thought: “Why not? I’m an incurable people-person — this can be fun.” After ~5 rounds of interviews answering the same questions to different people, and unsuccessfully selling a fictional car, I somehow got the job? And pretty much since then, I’ve been trying to get out of this industry. 😅 I mean — I actually want US to get out of it. By reinventing it from within. How did we get here in the first place? When did we forget to ask ourselves if all those tests and questions we throw at candidates are predictive of performance? And how can we hack interviews and find workplaces we’d belong to? Is that even possible? -- I am a lifelong learner polymath, and in a constant "movie-theater state": searching for poetry and meaning in every interaction. I can see multiple possibilities when talking to strangers. And I can easily turn them into friends -- as long as they are nice :) I've been through quite a bit in life, and having dealt with those situations has made me more love-oriented, mindful of my privileges, and appreciative of human vulnerability and resilience. I love to spend my time with my partner, our friends and our dogs (3 chihuahuas) and enjoy traveling around Brazil and the world.
