Working for Virgin Media as the role of a Community Lead included supporting local residents and communities through different stages of the network build. 

Engaging with residents and encouraging community participation to drive customer advocacy in order to drive down complaints and drive sales of the services and products that are offered. Planning and preparing for our delivery within different areas across the Midlands. 

Working collaboratively both internally with the network expansion, health and safety and consumer teams, but also externally with the Local Authorities and Regional Affairs to achieve the best end result.

Within the role I always hit the KPI's and goals set in order to drive success in my areas, while also having the opportunity to make commissions on my sales.

Community Lead

Working as the Graduate Regional Marketing Executive within the Midlands covering 9 cities. Supporting the roll out of our national campaigns as well as communicating at a hyperlocal level with residents to raise brand awareness and to minimise the impact of the temporary disruption. 

Marketing B2C including residents and stakeholders such as the local authority. Within our marketing strategy  we attended local and virtual events, focused on CSR projects and collaborated across external agencies. I supported in delivering and communicating the plan to suit and manage the budget.

Working for Kurt Geiger in their concession store in Debenhams involves delivering high standards of customer service while achieving sales target, handling stock effectively and maintaining the stores visual merchandising.

Within a part time job role this required me to deal with customer queries and help other staff members, while continuously looking for opportunities to improve areas of the pub and business. Trained in both waitressing and bar work, I deliver a friendly and efficient customer service, which I pride myself in. Progressing in the role allowed me to become more creative in the role by focusing on the companies branding. 

The job also allows me to be an event coordinator. We offer events for weddings, christenings and parties etc. I help coordinate with the customers and assist with the event.

Within the 2 weeks on my placement I took on the role of a marketing assistant.
I attended weekly meetings, created mood boards, started there A/W brochure showcasing all their new and best selling products, created promotional banners that were used live on their website, as well as location and influence scouting for their up-coming photoshoot. I helped created a marketing plan for the upcoming 3 months on Excel. 

As well as this I helped with general jobs such as helping with orders and fit modelling.

Graduate Fashion Week

Volunteering at Graduate Fashion Week within the sponsorship team. Liaising and problem solving for sponsors such as Givenchy, Matalan, George, LVMH, Specsavers and more! I offered an articulated and personable service. 

I had back stage experience, by dressing Gap Inc's mannequin ready for their talk.
While volunteering I had the opportunity to see the Gala Awards, which were incredible. I throughly enjoyed the experience and felt my networking skills developed.

Don't Panic Events

Within my 2 week work placement, I took on the role as a marketing assistant. The key roles included doing promotional packs, blog copy-writing, personal outreach to new customers, increasing the social following, data research.

Enlist Events

A student run events company that was raising money for St Basils homeless charity. St Basils helps and supports 16-25 years old who are homeless or at risk in the West Midlands. We fundraised, then held a mother's day inspired afternoon tea event at Hampton Manor, which saw over 50 attendees and over £1100 raised for the charity. 

My role was to keep everyone organised and on-track, as well as keeping branding consistent throughout PR and Marketing. I took on the role of being the venue liaisons as well. The event and process gave me a great in-sight to how to put on an successful event.

Communications Manager

I gained the placement through working on a live project within a buying and merchandising university module. My work was selected along side 9 other students to present at George head office. I took this in my stride and ended up being chosen for a 2 week placement out of 100 students.

My first week I was placed in the Menswear swimwear team, this included:
- Creating moodboards for the upcoming season focusing on colours, styles and detailing,
- Looking at best sellers and the sales/profit from the week before,
- Attending a supplier meeting to choose the swimwear details and a selection meeting, 
- Completing a competitor shop online, 
- Worked with the design team to match pantone colour sampling. 

My second week I was placed within Womenswear nightwear, this included:
- Completing gold seals 
- Signing off P&P's/ Gold seals, 
- Had the opportunity to talk to other teams and discuss what their roles involved.

Buying and Merchandising Placement 

Fashion Business and Promotion Graduate in 2020, following with nearly two years working for two major key players within the Telecommunications industry; CityFibre and Virgin Media O2. Building my skills and knowledge within Marketing, where I'm currently a Campaigns Manager at ODS. 

After receiving a 1st class honours degree in Fashion Business and Promotion which included organising a live event, working with George ASDA on a live buying and merchandising brief and creating a marketing campaign for Give Blood alongside gaining industry experience in such places as Don't Panic Events, Tutti Rouge and Graduate Fashion Week, this has progressed me into a role within the marketing industry.

In my personal time, I love getting out of my comfort zone by doing anything that gets my adrenaline going; scuba diving, sky diving, horse riding, the list goes on.
