I am an innovative leader and brand storyteller with highly developed design skills. My background is in education, where I gained 12 years of classroom experience developing students' language proficiency while embedding character education into my instructional practices and developing both language and character related curricula. After leaving the classroom in May of 2022, I spent two years in the education technology industry flexing my creative muscles and gaining more formal training and experience in both marketing and instructional design. I did this by developing curricular frameworks, writing and designing adult and K-12 lessons and deliverables, creating and delivering training, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts, and much more. The EdTech space allowed me to expand my abilities as a full-stack instructional designer in the following ways: by expanding upon my knowledge of adult learning principles, developing e-learning modules, designing product and training related deliverables, becoming trained in Articulate360 authoring tools like Rise and Storyline360, and gaining more hands-on experience with a variety of Learning Management Systems. Above all, my greatest strength is my ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships. As a professional who values emotional intelligence, I have always believed in leading within the parameters of my role through kindness and empathy. Collaboration and creativity are two core values that I exhibit through partnering with all stakeholders to further company outcomes and by being an creative problem-solver, thinker, and writer. My passion lies in teaching and supporting others, doing work that I believe in, and making the world a better place with kindness.
