Rowan University

In this role, I provide direct leadership and supervision to professional, graduate, and undergraduate student staff in the areas of student and late night programming, campus activities, special events, marketing, and the employee experience.  My primary role is the student employment experience for the SCCA, including recruitment, on-boarding, training, recognition, and evaluation and assessment.

I am specifically proud of my role in enhancing the employee experience through creative and impactful learning solutions and instructional design techniques for over 100 staff.  

This has included me serving as chair for the Professional Learning Community for On-Campus Student Employment and Career Readiness through the University Faculty Center; as well as serving on the Association of College Union International (ACUI) Educational Council, an international team of student affairs practitioners focused on the comprehensive development, implementation, and evaluation of educational initiatives for the Association which includes over 500 member institutions in 10 countries.

Associate Director, Chamberlain Student Center & Campus Activities

As I was transitioning into the role of Assistant Director of Rowan After Hours (RAH), the Student Center and Campus Activities (SCCA) office was being merged -- formerly Student Center and Student Activities offices. Through this merge, I aided in laying the ground work for this new department, including developing the mission statement and core values. In my direct role, I supervised the RAH program, a late night program hosting events every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night from 9pm-1am, averaging over 20,000 participants each year. Additionally, I hire, train, and supervise 22 undergraduate students, including 5 student coordinators, and 3 graduate students. 

During my time at Rowan University, I have developed and maintained a RAH coordinator and student staff development model utilizing job market trends (NACE) and high impact practices (AAC&U); planned & executed large-scale, unique, and collaborative late night programs; assisted in the coordination of campus-wide committees and events; developed and coordinated the fall 2019 All-SCCA Student Staff training; and coordinated current SCCA assessment goals, outcomes, and targets utilizing CampusLabs Planning program.

Assistant Director, Rowan After Hours (RAH)

SUNY Geneseo

In June 2016, SUNY Geneseo began a reorganization of several departments on campus, including the Department of Student Life. The reorganization lead to the merger of the Department of Student Life (college union and activities) and Residential Life. During the merger, I was promoted to Assistant Director and giving more responsibility. My responsibilities continue to include my previous role, along with being charged with developing a cohesive, intentional co-curricular education program for the Division of Student and Campus Life, providing educational and leadership opportunities for professional staff, student staff, and residential students, supervising the SUNY Geneseo mascot program, and serving on various campus-wide committees. I have been charged with integrating campus living (formerly Residential Life) and campus activities professional and student staff, as well as promoting our role as campus-wide citizens.

Assistant Director of Student Life

Serving as the inaugural professional staff fully dedicated to the Geneseo Late Knight (GLK) program, I have successfully executed a diverse calendar of events while managing a $80,000 budget. During my time as the Coordinator of Late Night Programs & Activities, I have implemented a strategic marketing campaign to engage student participants, constructed a three-tiered student organization co-sponsorship model providing a more accessible and student-centered learning experience, & developed an extensive student staff training model. For more information, visit glk.geneseo.edu.

Coordinator of Late Night Programs & Activities

Assist in the planning, marketing, executing, and assessing of a diverse calendar of events, including large-scale events with budgets of up to $200,000 and late-night/weekend programming.

Graduate Coordinator for the Office of Student Activities

Provide leadership development, educational opportunities, budget review, and program guidance to 11 executive board members and 75 general members in the Student University Programmers (SUP) student programming board. Oversee a budget of $350,000 per year for SUP.

Graduate Advisor for the Student University Programmers (SUP)

Collaborate with the professional staff on a risk management emergency action plan. Assist in the development of a campus-wide student club and organization outreach program

Graduate Intern, Assistant Vice President of Student Life

Collected research from various colleges to inform the English Department's revised curriculum. Compiled and analyzed data from staff and student surveys concerning the creation of a chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, using IBM SPSS. Participated in the external review/strategic planning process.

Reviewed violations of the Rowan University Academic Integrity policy in the areas of cheating, plagiarism, fabrication, and academic misconduct.

Maintained an inclusive community for up to 40 freshman and 60 upperclassman residents.

Educator and instructional designer with 10+ years experience of designing and developing highly impactful learning and training solutions for diverse learners, including undergraduate student employees, graduate student coordinators, and professionals.
