As a native Californian, IT and entrepreneurship are in my genes. I have followed the classical journey: gain experience first through various jobs, keep an avid eye out for inefficiencies along the way, think of how a solution could turn into a business idea, choose the best one, and act on it! That's how I created my first successful venture in 2017, Propulsion Academy, as Switzerland’s first coding and data science academy. Along with a great team of passionate educators, we identified a solution to help fill the tremendous shortage of experts by training talented, dedicated people coming out of other disciplines to become successful IT professionals. Fast forward several years later, we have have built an alumni base of 1,000+ students working for companies such as Google, Roche, eBay, Adobe, UBS, Swisscom, ... as well as many well-known startups. Propulsion was acquired in 2021 by the Constructor Group (https://constructor.org/). My interests are not limited to education. A technological component is a must of course, but above anything else, there needs to be a true purpose and driving force.
