As part of the Breach Response Services team, I serve as a project manager and guide policyholders through suspected and confirmed data privacy and cyber security incidents.  I work with policyholders that include organizations from the retail industry, financial services, healthcare and higher education.  I also compile and analyze data from the over 10,000 data privacy incidents that our team has handled.

I worked on a case for the Civil Rights and Constitutional Litigation Clinic.  Our client overstayed his student visa for fear of persecution in his home country.  The Immigration Judge and Board of Immigration Appeals denied his application for “withholding of removal” on the ground that he posed a threat to national security.  The Clinic took his case to the Third Circuit, which ruled in our client’s favor, determining that the BIA could not rely on vague “national security” concerns, unsupported by substantial evidence, to deny him relief.  In the fall of 2011, when I worked on the case, we applied for and obtained a fee award from the government.  We were also able to convince the Department of Homeland Security to remove our client's electronic monitoring bracelet and lift his curfew.
