⏤ I defined the strategy to build an online robotics-focused community that would help solve the world's greatest engineering challenges from concept to realization.
⏤ I defined the approach, the software stack to be used and built the community to over 4000 professional users.

GrabCAD, a Stratasys company

At GrabCAD, the biggest online community for mechanical engineers, with millions of members, I was the sole person responsible for their community design competitions. During these design competitions or "Engineering Challenges" as we called them, we helped clients such as NASA, General Electric, Makerbot, Nokia, and many others crowdsource new engineering designs.

From 2011-2015 I managed over 150 Engineering Challenges with thousands of entries, all to optimize, improve, innovate and solve tough design constraints. I organized the competitions from start to finish: finding ideal clients, preparing sales and marketing materials, preparing competition rules and design prompts, overviewing submissions, and picking and awarding the winners.

My work helped to grow the community from few thousand to 3 million members by 2015 and was the source of many outstanding engineering innovations.

3D Technologies R&D

At 3D Wayfinder, an Estonian startup that provided 3D wayfinding software for public spaces, I was their sole sales and marketing manager. I created their marketing strategy from scratch, acquired their first initial clients and acted as their brand ambassador in trade fairs across Europe.

By the time I left 3D Wayfinder, I had signed several large accounts, including the Science Center of Estonia. I also ensured that they had the proper foundation to expand internationally into a well-known visual Wayfinder provider.

At Santa Monica Networks, the largest company providing computer network infrastructure in the Baltic States and Finland, I managed the sales and marketing team. I created their sales and marketing strategy, including daily measurable metrics, and prepared all sales and marketing materials.

At Columbus IT, one of the largest Microsoft Dynamics business software partners in the world, I was the sole manager of their sales and marketing department. My main responsibility was to consistently  acquire large accounts in the corporate and government sector. 

I also worked closely with our main partner, Microsoft, to create new marketing campaigns, sales materials, and demo events.

➡ I have worked in the tech sales and marketing since 2001, after earning my MSc in Computer Engineering.

➡ For 5 years, I played a pivotal role in growing an engineering community, which has now over 12 million members. This experience provided me with invaluable insights into community building, engagement strategies, and fostering collaboration within the tech sector.

➡ I specialize in helping tech businesses refine their strategies, optimize marketing efforts, create content, form partnerships, and build vibrant communities. 

➡ In 2015 I quit my job to travel for 2 years and study meditation, sound healing, mindfulness and other practices for mental wellbeing. I have since performed at events and released my recordings on Insight Timer, Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music. My tracks have been streamed for over 1 million times. 

➡ I'm a reforestation and rewilding enthusiast and my hobby is forest photography.
