My name is Lawrence Mansour and I grew up in Detroit, where I worked in my dad's hardware store, learning about business and financials. In seventh grade, I ran a bubblegum business at Berkshire Middle School in Birmingham, Michigan, making around $50 a day. I even had some employees and distributors. Eventually, I graduated from Troy Athens. I studied at Oakland University, where I had a successful eBay store. This was my "before tech business venture" that ultimately crashed during the recession of 2008/09. I'd known I wanted to go into business, but I went to law school in a state of confusion. I enjoyed the legal side, but after watching "The Social Network" everything changed. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. "That day I told my girlfriend I was gonna be a tech entrepreneur," I remember. The next day I got into tech and my journey began. It all happened while I was attending OU. The biggest thing to know about me is that everything I've built has been with my money. I never took investor money. I had taken out some small loans, most of them which I burned very early on because I didn't know what the hell I was doing Having the fundamentals of your business right is the most important factor for success, regardless of whether you raise money or not. - Lawrence Mansour
