Building up my business – MYNAMET.COM, in the last few years has been one of the most satisfying experiences of my life. I can remember starting my 1st business in Sri Lanka as a young boy in 1991, just right after college, with few responsibilities. I need to split my time between multiple businesses and commitments to a few non-profit organizations, and it is an amazing journey. I will never forget my early mentors’ my loving parents, the best father and mother ever, the late Ivan & Catherine pouring their guidance, and College Director and former bosses. Whom I really admire. In the United States, my best friend Raymond and the Late Rev. Fr. Raymond Dunn. I was able to fulfill my 20+ years old dream of doing an MBA from the University of Bedfordshire in the UK. It's a one-year hybrid program. I'm thankful to everyone who encouraged me, especially Morris, Tough times never last people surely do. One piece of advice in life Always aim high, work hard, your luck is in working hard and care deeply about what you believe in. When you stumble, keep the faith. When you're knocked down, get right back up and never listen to the naysayers. Follow your heart! Expert in cultivating and building lasting relationships with a strong focus on customer success. Demonstrates leadership and takes ownership of projects to lead teams to success. With a strong organizational ability to prioritize and manage tasks and strong problem-solving skills that take businesses to the next level, excellent communication skills are my great achievement. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. While working as a Group Sales Manager at Stanford Macy’s Men’s Store in Palo Alto and as a Wireless Consultant at Verizon Wireless, Fortune 50 company, I experienced everything from the fun, thrill, politics, and challenges in corporate America. It left me with the question of why I am doing what I am doing. So, I changed my focus from what I wanted to do for a career to how I wanted to live my life. It forced me to start my 3rd business FrontTravel Limo to align my passions with my purpose, so I could live out my core values without compromising on my own terms and work with a new team, new horizon, and new vision. This led me to start my own business as an exit to strategy from corporate life. Follow the American Dream. Through hard work, multiple setbacks, perseverance, sacrifices, and hardships, I was able to achieve pretty decent success as a whole without a price tag. Life is a journey, not a destination. It’s not over until it’s over.
